After the Party

Personal Log, Lt. Commander Matias Grronkil, Chief Engineer, USS Elysium.

The Christmas party, at first was a little boring, as nobody noticed the green-clad Grinch. So I came out of my shell and mixed with the party-goers. I participated in several dances and actually connected with somebody, a male lover. I don't know yet if this is just a one-night stand or is a real connection, and we decided to 'play it by ear' as humans say.

The lovemaking was intense and satisfying in my quarters after the party. He didn't mind being with a 'wolf,' a Grral. We just enjoyed each other. I needed that after the breakup with Liselle. I still love her, but it will be difficult to start it up with her again. She has so many things to work out before we can be lovers. But the pressure is off. I have somebody I can be open and honest with and we hit it off right away.

I've been looking and finally, my persistence has paid off. My work as Chief Engineer is satisfying and I have a great team which is able to solve problems that others would overlook. Probably this is the best team in two galaxies.

For the first time since I came here, I am happy.
