		DeForest Kelley Humor Award This award is meant to help us all remember that a bit of light-heartedness goes a long way; even in the face of danger. 		Boarding Repulsion Ribbon Awarded to any starfleet personnel for active participation in any campaign who, during the act of war, prevents or repels any foreign party from gaining or removing control over any starfleet property. Issued to those personnel that preformed their duty within the territorial limits of the campaign, in the space immediately adjacent thereto to by participating in actual combat operations or in support of combat operations. this includes both frontline and support personnel. issued by starfleet command, awarded to any starfleet personnel. 		Gold LifeSaving Medal This medal is awarded to any person who rescues, or endeavors to rescue, any other person from harm. The rescue must have been at the risk of the rescuer's own life, with evidence of extreme and heroic daring.		Details
		Recruitment Award For recognition of recruitment successes. In order to secure a bright and long lasting future for Obsidian Fleet, there must always be the continual introduction of excited and eager new players. This award is to recognize those who have successfully recruited a new player to the simm who remains on that simm for a minimum period of 6 months. 		Purple Heart Awarded to personnel who are injured in the line of duty. They do not have to be on their deathbed, or even have broken limbs and such. Basically, any crew member with an injury or injuries that a CO feels worth making record of should receive this award. Also applies to POWs: Given to Starfleet officers who are captured by enemy forces for an extended period of time.		Details
		Professional Merit Awarded to the character who has developed his/her character with considerable talent, making that character a joy to interact with.		Details

		Outstanding Volunteer Award For the player who makes every effort to find significant ways to lend a hand to the simm’s command staff. Performs excellent support work to the best of his/her abilities. Reserved for out of character contributions only, as such efforts differ in scope and often involve a player’s personal time commitment beyond the game play. 		Silver Lifesaving Medal This medal is awarded to any person who rescues, or endeavors to rescue, any other person from harm. The Silver Medal differs from the Gold Lifesaving Medal in that the act need not involve the degree of heroism and risk called for in the Gold Medal.		Details
		Whoopi Goldberg Diversity Ribbon Awarded for the successful portrayal of a non-human character aboard a simulation. In the interest of diversity, this award is granted to individuals who have done an exemplary job writing and developing their non-human characters. Playing ruthless Romulans, killer Klingons, freeloading Ferengi, clever Cardassians, benevolent Bajorans, vigilant Vulcans, aspiring Andorians and any others, while doing so in an excellent fashion, is worthy of recognition. This award can also be used to commend those players who support other diversity factors in real life and our sims, including race, gender identity, ethnicity, and more.		Details
		Prisoner of War The POW Medal is issued only to any person who was taken prisoner or held captive while engaged in action against an enemy of the United Federation of Planets, or while serving with friendly forces engaged in armed conflict. The recipient's conduct, while in captivity, must have been honorable.		Details

		'HEART OF THE TIGER' AWARD Awarded to the player/s who has taken considerable effort in creating action-packed, edge-of-your-seat combat posts in a way that is both believable yet incredible; the type of writing they make little toy action figures out of!		Details

		Starfleet Survival Cross Award Level: Special Honour Non-Combat/Combat: Both Other Restrictions: Special Circumstances (See Description) Awarded to Starfleet personnel who have been either stranded in an inhospitable environment or held captive by enemy forces for a period of no less than three months. In situations where the captivity or environment are especially arduous (i.e. extremes of temperature or weather harmful to the character's species, torture, etc.) the time requirement may be shortened or practically eliminated. 		Four Palm Leaf Medal Awarded to Starfleet personnel who have distinguished themselves in the conduct of First Contact missions, representing the United Federation of Planets in such manner and conduct that they are recognized as having met or exceeded the primary mandate of the United Federation of Planets Starfleet in 'seeking out new life and new civilizations'. The medal is presented by the individual's Commanding Officer, with authorization from a Senior Flag Officer.		Details
		Star of Hope The Star of Hope is awarded for combat action only, and is awarded to any person killed in action while serving the armed forces of the United Federation of Planets. It is only awarded posthumously.		Details

		ELYSIUM UNIT CITATION Awarded to a group of players who have demonstrated cohesiveness and prowess in joint-posting, interacting with each other to further the plotline, contribution to the collective story and generally writing a fun posting thread to read.		Details
		ELYSIUM SILVER CROSS The highest-level award bestowed upon a ELYSIUM player, the recipient of this award demonstrates qualities of almost every other award here -- from furthering the plot in a way that entices others to jump in and participate, to writing his or her character in a believable, "real" yet fantastic way. A protagonist, an antagonist; a dreamer; a good storyteller. Note that this award is very specific: qualified recipients may not be found in all award cycles. This award does not necessarily equate to the player who posts the most frequently; rather, it is the content and context that is awarded.		Details
		Starfleet Expeditionary Medal (Five Year Mission) The Starfleet Expeditionary Medal is awarded to members of Starfleet or other services, civilian or military, who have completed a five-year mission in any single posting or assignment, with continuous service. The medal recognizes service in any capacity during a Starfleet deep-space deployment for a period not less than five years - a substantial milestone which itself marks high achievement in pursuit of Starfleet's most ambitious mission program to explore strange new worlds in the final frontier. The service time must be completed while assigned to a single vessel or station, and service across several successive assignments will reset the time requirement of this award. Partial completion of a five-year mission may instead be recognized by the Meritorious Service Medal. The Expeditionary Medal was commissioned with the explicit purpose of honouring the pioneering days of Starfleet, where starships and their crews would embark upon long and perilous journeys of exploration to unknown regions, boldly going where no one had gone before. These crews were generally away from their homeworlds for upwards of five years (per Starfleet's standard long-range mission specification) and were often isolated from outside assistance. Such crews were marked by qualities of tenacity, independence, intrepidity, and adventurous spirit which remains the gold-standard for Starfleet and its objectives today. Citations for the Expeditionary Medal should therefore embody these same qualities.		Details

		SERVICE COMMENDATION AWARD Awarded to the crew member that posts in such a way that entices others to "jump in" and help build upon that post; a "team player," writing for the benefit of group interaction.		Details
		Outstanding Leadership in a Mission Awarded to writers who have taken it upon themselves to move the mission forward, either by posting individually or organizing and leading JPs. This award represents the highest level of recognition for mission-related participation.		Details
