Medical again.

Phoenix was assisted into Medical by two officers who helped their nearly unconscious CO onto the bio bed then one went to get a doctor.

Olivia rushed out of one of the small labs where she had been checking up on a few blood tests that were being done on a couple other crew members. “Captain,” Olivia said as she grabbed one of the tricorders to use on checking the Captain. She also reached up to press a few buttons on the biobed so that readings could be gotten there as well.

"Hi Olivia" Phoenix got out as she lay there. Badly beaten, often electrocuted and other such delights had worn the Captain down. Blood trickled from her head under her hair from where the Mirror Gary had bashed her head.

“Your safe now Captain,” Olivia said. “I’m going to check you over thoroughly to make sure we get you on the road to recovery from your injuries. Just try and relax as best you can, Captain.”

"i.. have to be on the bridge.." She got out. "The crew... stuff to do.."

"All that can wait for a short time," Olivia replied. "You need medical treatment and that takes priority right now. The crew can handle their duties until you able to get up to the bridge."

Phoenix sighed. "Sorry" she got out softly. "How many are wounded?"

"Several only have minor injuries that are being treated," Olivia replied. "There are only a select few that have injuries that are a bit more serious that are being treated as well." Olivia continued to check the Captain over. "My focus right now is on you to ensure that your injuries are tended to and that there are no other problems."

Phoenix knew there were deaths but her mind shied away from that question. "so... care to list my injuries? I know there is ligament damage in several limbs, i felt them go."

Olivia looked over the scans so far that she had gotten. "There is that," Olivia replied, "along with several deep bruises, bruised or cracked ribs, and a couple burns from what I've determined so far. Main thing is that everything will heal with time. You will have to take it easy for a few days once I get you patched up."

"Easy? With the fact that Starfleet intelligence will want to question me? I don't think that is going to be a choice"

“Well they will have to wait their turn,” Olivia replied. “Your health right now takes priority over their questions. Plus, we have to make sure that there are no complications with the baby after what you just went through.”

"T-they put a forcefield around it. Something about wanting to transplant it into my mirror." Phoenix said softly.

Olivia nodded slightly as she made a couple adjustments for a more detailed scan in relation to the baby. After doing the scans and double checking some of the information, Olivia looked back up at the Captain. “It a good thing you are already seated, or should I say laying down for this one Captain,” Olivia said. “They did not take your baby from you and transfer it over to your double. More to the point, they didn’t take either one of your babies. You are carrying twins and both are doing just fine after all that you went through recently.”

Phoenix let her eyes closed "Ah.. so two.." she smiled. "Its not that much of a surprise really, I have seen an alternate version of myself have twins before." She looked at Olivia. "Thank you Doctor."

"Somethings do happen the same in an alternate time line and the other times some of it can get out of order at some point," Olivia replied. "Main thing is that you still have your twins inside of you and we are going to make sure that they stay there until they are ready to be born."

"Thank you" Phoenix said honestly. "So.. i am guessing there is a lot to do to make sure they stay there?"

“There are several things to be done,” Olivia replied. “One of The main things is to make sure that you don’t deal with more stress than you already have been through. I want you to deliver a healthy set of twins. So if I have to I will interfere with the upper brass asking you all sorts of questions. Your health and the health of your unborn twins take priority over them asking you questions and causing undue stress.”

"I appreciate that." Phoenix said with a smile. "And I will promise to take it easier"

“You better Captain,” Olivia replied. “I would hate to pull you from active duty for a few days to ensure that you did just that. One way to not be under a lot of stress right now would be to delegate a few things to the Commander or another for a little while so that you can get some rest.”

"I promise i shall do that. I trust the XO and the rest to do their jobs so I will let them take some of the load."

"I'm going to hold you to that, Captain," Olivia replied. "I will be checking up on you every so often to make sure that you are doing just that. If needed I will send a certain Gorn after you to ensure that you are taking it easy."

Phoenix gave a half laugh. "Oh believe me, I won't be messing this up. As scary as he is, I won't push it."

“Good,” Olivia replied. “He May be scary to look at, but at least we got the good one on our side. Plus, I think there were a few things learned recently that could go for the good or the bad on recent events depending on how you look at said events.”

"Agreed" Phoenix said. "I am just glad DS16 has a ton of counselors, we are going to need them"

“Along with restocking of a few medical items and other items that got used up faster than planned,” Olivia replied. “Hopefully our next mission will be nothing like what we just went through.”

"From your mouth to whoever controls the universe's ears Lieutenant. I pray for that also" Phoenix said. Then she gave a winsome smile. "Can I go now doc?"

“You can go now Captain,” Olivia replied. “Just make sure get some rest or else.”

Phoenix nodded with a smile and slid from the bio bed. "I fully intend to." she said "My bed sounds delightful right about now." She did not mention that she would contact Gary on her way and discuss things as she went. "Thank you doctor."
