Timeline: MD 2 1130 Hrs Last Mission.
718 words - 1.4 OF Standard Post Measure

Jessica continued to fix things on the Gryphons just to vent what happened on the away mission, Chances were she was going to hear about it soon.

"Oh yes.. We were sent planetside to... 'look around, and not get into any trouble.'" Jessica noted. "Who the hell issues our orders anymore? Starfleet HQ? I wonder what would have been waiting for us by the time we got to wherever Ms. Heinrich Himmler was taking us. Maybe it was a goddess damned egg-head party, or a laboratory to be disected, even a goddess damned concentration camp." She was talking to herself again.

Garrett had entered the main shuttlebay to talk to Jessica get her take on the recent mission. As he came in he heard her voice and following the sound, found her working on the Gryphons and talking to herself.

She didn't notice Lovejoy yet. "Of course I didn't, the hell, want to find out what was waiting for us at the end of the line. Goddesses Almighty to the FOUR HELLS... Never thought I'd see the day I ran into people who tried to justify slaughter. And they grabbed me to go on that excursion planetside. I'm a pilot, not a diplomat."

"Indeed you are a pilot." Garrett interrupted Jessi's rant. " Sorry for interrupting. Now please continue with your rant."

"Commander. Permission to speak freely?" Jess asked.

"Of course."

"What are we doing here? They're not even half-way ready for first contact, and yet we're sent here because theyre a 'Earth Colony.' Never thought I'd run into space nazis out here." Jess mentioned. "They got all of Heinrich Himmler's playbook down, and they think it's a virtue."

Garrett listened as Jessi said her piece . "We're here because Command sent us here Commander and despite what you and I may think, they are an Earth Colony. They aren't my cup of tea either I think they road their on with their policies will lead to disaster for the colony." He paused then continued, "We'll just have to show them the error of their ways."

"Commander, they're going down a road that's been travelled before." She noted. "They have monuments strung all over the place honoring the people they murdered for the greater good of their genetics" Jessica noted. "Jesus H. Christ, Commander. And when they started their 'pruning' speech, that's when I pulled everyone out of there. We cannot let them have warp drive. And I wasn't going to see where they were leading us to."

Jess opened an ice chest and pulled out a drink for Lovejoy. It was a coke, something from Jess' love of Nostalgia.

"And they were also wondering why humans weren't pruning the races we found. That was enough to piss me off all over again. Commander, do you know how many people died the last time humanity decided to prune itself? You can't let these people have our tech.. Or we'll be fighting them in fifty years."

Garrett took the coke, "Where in the world did you find this?" He asked before going back to the topic they were discussing. "Commander.... Jessi." He amended. Do you think me ignorant of those facts or Captain Carrington. I can assure we are not. However we can only do so much. We can protest up the line until we're told enough. As for fighting them in fifty years, you're wrong closer to thirty five, unless Command opens their eyes and sees what we have been telling them."

"One can hope, and I found the Recipe, believe it or not, in a cupboard in my hanger next to my house in whitecliff." Jess mentioned. "So I had the Replicator analyze it and I managed to unlock the recipe for Coca Cola." She noted. "And my cadet pilots will be the ones that will be vigilant against them. I think it's time to show them what they're fighting against."

"Let their training begin." Garrett replied earnestly. "They will need to be on a steep learning curve."

"I don't want to train them to fight another war, Garrett. You know those hawks out there." Jess noted. "I know I'm a warrior... but I do not want to be warring. Sooner or later these hawks in the Federation are going to get us into a real shitstorm."
