The Shuttle had dropped Shanyrria off and she left her bags in her cabin before heading to the Chief Science Officer's Office. She pressed the chime and checked her uniform to make sure it was perfect.

"Enter." T'Kara noted, sipping her coffee. "Mmm.. surprisingly good."

The door opened and Shanyrria entered and stopped before the desk. "Commander T'Kara. Ensign Kelmys reporting."

"Very well Ensign. It will be a privilege to serve with you. I will let you attend to your duties." T'Kara stated in a very logical, very Vulcan demeanor as she sipped her coffee.

Shanyrria merely placed her orders on the Vulcan's desk and turned and headed for the door. She said not a word.

When Shanyrria left, T'Kara put the orders down and pulled up her biography.

Shanyrria moved down the halls of the science department looking for a vacant office.

"Is the Office sufficient, Ensign?" T'Kara noted.

Shanyrria turned from the doorway which led to an empty office. She straightened. "Yes Commander" She said. "It is more than sufficient."

"That is good. So your major is archeology. I need your opinion on something, It has to do with the current mission." T'Kara mentioned.

"Of course Commander. What is your query?" Shan made sure her tone matched the commanders.

"How are you with urban archeology." T'Kara showed the scans of the planet below.

Shan studied the scans for a moment. "Not my strong point but I can do it. As long as there are no bombs dropping on my head."

"We're looking at a possible diplomatic incident between the Ferengi Alliance and the Gorn Hegemony here. Involving possible graverobbing. The Ferengi will try to downplay this situation, and the Gorn will want as much proof of Ferengi involvement as possible. There's been documented cases of Archeological graverobbing in the past?"

"Yes there is. Ferengi and Orions normally. If you can find it there is normally a market for it." Shanyrria replied.

"How well do you know this market?" T'Kara mentioned.

"Not well. Rumours and such. Though if we have any Ferengi onboard I'd start with them." Shan replied

T'Kara nodded. "Once again, welcome aboard Ensign. I look forward to serving with you." This Vulcan didn't care who anyone was. She cared about what they had to offer.

"yes Sir" Shan nodded and headed into her office.

Once alone in her office, Shan looked around the barren room and sighed. It would take some doing but she would get it sorted. Make it a better place to work in. And for once, the Vulcan in charge had seemed content to accept her as she was and not, as many had in the past, try to convert her to their way of thinking.

Idly she spun the chair around and checked the computer before entering her access codes and assigning the office to herself. Shanyrria wanted this posting to work. She was not sure it would but she would give it a shot. And after the Tesla, she was just happy to be a silent peon in the works.

After a moment more thought she set about getting her office in order.
