Tristi looked at the PADD the teacher had placed before her. It held her current grades. She bit her lip and pressed the activation button. She had struggled due to her background. Struggled because the teacher had ignored her requests for assistance.

But she had not complained to her adoptive parents about the workload or the lack of support. She wanted to do well.

And she hadn't. Tristi frowned. Which puzzled her greatly.

Comments: Tristi will not graduate from high school unless she applies herself. Parent conference recommended.

Apply herself?!?! Tristi glared. She had. She had submitted all homework assignments given to her, and she had been given good marks for them. Tristi didn't trust people so she saved everything. Including her biology project which had given her a 95% grade. She had no idea how she had failed. She flung the PADD down on her desk and narrowed her gaze at the Teachers back. She could not believe what was on that PADD.

When class was dismissed she emptied her locker and stalked from the school, taking the turbolift to her temporary quarters. She was NOT going back to that dumb school. They could jump into a warp core containment field. Entering the cabin, she found Miran was not back yet which suited her just fine. She knew there was a possibility that her records were lost in the chaos but this was ridiculous.

Tristi changed clothes and grabbed her favourite notebook. Leaving the cabin, Tristi headed for the hydroponics bay on deck 17. No one ever went there. And the science officers who were assigned to it, rarely came unless there was issues.

Tristi entered the hydroponics lab and let herself smile. She enjoyed the hydroponics lab. It made her happy to sit and work with the plants. Science didn't even notice. And the former chief Arrianna had basically scoffed about Tristi's interest suggesting that she could pick something more interesting, not to mention that despite her knowing Tristi's past she had basically told the Teen to get out science in general.

Well she was gone now and no one else had anything to say about Tristi being there. Tristi didn't miss Arrianna or Kate or whatever the crazy one had wanted to be called. She might one of the few but she could not care less. Arri's descent in the past few months had gotten worse and Tristi knew it had concerned Phoenix and Mattias. It also had been concerning to the other woman, who Tristi knew was called Josephine. She had seen the pregnant woman all but run from area to area to avoid Arrianna.

Maybe now Phoenix and Mattias would relax a bit more, and Josephine would be able to live without issues. And maybe just maybe, if no one paid attention Tristi could make it here in the Hydroponics without issue.

Taking a seat in the far back corner near the various pea plants, Tristi settled in to her private tasks of checking the growth of the plants she cared for.
