Standing in the Bajoran sanctuary Lia looked at the small silver casket before her, it held her unborn child's remains. *She never had a name or even knew life* she thought. She had gained permission for this private service from the Station Commander, she hadn't involved anyone from the Elysium. *As in birth and death, now in the final goodbye your Father isn't here*, that thought burned in her mind. Gary hadn't even come to see her, not even spoken about what had happened. She touched the name plate which covered the front of the casket, since it was so small. On it Lia had requested these words,("If innocence is a gift to all children, then here is the purest form of innocence"). Below that she had placed the words "Sleep safe my Angel".

Her heart was breaking, she needed someone to hold on to, but she wasn't to have that gift. *Like daughter, like Mother* she thought, alone and in some respect unwanted. Not by Lia, but by others. She watched as the station slowly turned and waited as it pointed towards the direction of Earth, then as the time approached a lone Female Japanese voice could be heard, the song "Palm of a tiny hand" played as a lament for this tiny soul about to take her final journey alone, tears fell from Lia's eyes as the casket shot away from the station on its way home.

As the song came to its end Lia turned and left the Sanctuary, Angel was on her way and she would never more feel pain or hurt. Unlike her Mother, who was breaking apart with every step she took. She then did something she had never done before, entering Quarks she ordered an alcoholic drink. Grasping the glass of white rum, she drank it down in one. Then returned to the Elysium, and fell into a troubled sleep with visions of lost children and a lonely old age.
