Jason had seen her before, seen her several times in fact. She was Captain Taylor's daughters nanny. Her name was Cerese and he wanted to meet her. So, gathering his courage, he went to her cabin, checked over his uniform to make sure he looked presentable and pressed the door chime and waited. Then he got nervous, maybe this wasn't such a good idea he thought what if Captain Taylor found out? Would he be mad? Would he shoot Jason out an airlock and blame the Zynari? These thought and others involving suddenly disappearing filled his head as he waited.

Cerese was just finishing off her studies when the door chime rang, she hadn’t been expecting any visitors, walking over to the door she smiled warmly as she greeted the man standing outside. She had seen him around ship but hadn’t had chance to properly introduce herself. “Hi.”

"Um hi," Jason stammered, "I'm. I'm not interrupting you or anything am I?" He said nervously as he stood there in her doorway.

Cerese smiled. “No, not at all. Would you like to come in?” She stepped back and motioned him inside.

Jason nodded gratefully. "Thanks." He said as he came in. "I'm Jason, Jason Danvers, I'm in the Flight Control Department." He added.

“It’s nice to meet you Jason” Cerese smiled warmly. “I think I’ve seen you around the ship before, so what can I do for you?”

Jason looked down at the floor, then up at the ceiling and finally at Cerese. "Um, I was wondering if you would like to go to dinner with me sometime?"

Cerese was surprised by that one, she barely knew Jason and yet here he was asking her out to dinner. "Well I um..." she paused and offered a smile. "I'm sorry that took me a little by surprise."

Jason nodded, "I understand. I didn't mean to surprise you. I'm sorry for disturbing you. I'll go ahead and leave. Have a good rest of the evening."

“Oh…no, wait!” Cerese stepped slightly forward reaching out her hand to stop Jason, before retracting it. “I didn’t say no, I just said I was surprised.”

Jason stopped and turned back to look at Cerese expectantly. His eyes on Cerese. He nodded, "I can understand you being surprised, some strange guy you don't know shows up at your door asking you to go out with him. I'd be surprised as well."

Cerese nodded. “I’m glad you understand, but what better to get to know someone than to accept an invite to dinner.” She smiled warmly.

Jason nodded, "I do understand. I completely understand." He stopped and looked at her, an expectant look on his face. "What? Does that mean yes? You'll go to dinner with me?"

Cerese nodded and smiled. “That’s a yes. I’d like that.”

Josh's face broke into a huge smile. "Really? That is fantastic! Um, when would you like to go? I want to take you somewhere nice." He admitted.

“I don’t have any plans this evening, if you’re available?” Cerese gave Josh a curious look.

"I sure am!" Jason replied happily. "Are you sure I'm not messing up your plans for the evening? I don't want to do that."

“No, it’s fine. I have time to get my academy assignments done, so I’m all yours for a while.” Cerese offered.

Jason smiled. "Wonderful. Have you ever eaten at Daus Alpine Haus? It is the premier restaurant on the Promenade level." He explained.

" I don't think I have" Cerese shook her head. "I have heard it mentioned before though, I just haven't gotten there yet."

Jason nodded, "Oh, then you are in for a treat. Hans, he's the owner, he is great. He really goes all out on making sure everything is perfect with your meal. You'll like him."

Cerese nodded. “He sounds like an interesting person, someone who cares about his customers as well as his business. I’ll look forward to meeting him.”

"You are right on both counts." Jason replied with a smile. "He's entertaining, has a great business. He looked at Cerese. "What do you need to do to be ready?"

“Ohh I just need to grab a quick shower and find an outfit” Cerese smiled. “Please make yourself at home, I’ll be as quick as I can.” With that she quickly headed to take a shower.

Jason nodded, "Take your time, I'll park myself on your couch. The restaurant isn't going anywhere." He grinned. He was looking forward to this evening with Cerese.

~ A few minutes later ~

Walking out of the bedroom Cerese smiled as she walked over to Jason giving him a little twirl to show off her summery dress. “I’m ready when you are.”

"Very nice." Jason replied with a smile as the dress showed off Cerese's attractive figure. "I am ready right now." he answered with another smile.

“Wonderful, then let’s go.” Cerese grinned as she took Jason’s arm ready to walk out with him.

Jason beamed at her as they walked out of her quarters and headed for the nearest lift. The night was just beginning but it was already off to a good start.

“Believe it or not I have a twin sister” Cerese grinned as she looked at Jason. “Unfortunately we were separated years ago, I have no idea where she is right now.”

"Really? That is amazing." Jason replied happily then his tone grew somber. "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope one day you/we can find your sister so you can be reunited with her."

“I hope so too Jason” Cerese nodded. “Still no need to make the occassion somber, I want to enjoy my time with you.”

"You will. I truly believe that." Jason replied as they walked on. "And I will do everything I can to see that you fully enjoy the evening starting with dinner."

“Then I will let you lead and I will follow” Cerese grinned. Jason honestly seemed like a very nice man, she hadn’t expected to be invited out to dinner like this, but she was glad she had accepted the invitation.

As they walked, Jason chatted away, "You will love this place! They have outstanding food and service and Hans the owner treats everyone like a king or queen. What kind of food do you like?" He inquired.

“Just about anything really” Cerese smiled. “My people have a varied diet, there isn’t much we can’t stomach.”

"That's good to know. I think you will be quite happy with anything you order. I don't know anyone who has ever had a bad meal. Hans really goes out of his way to make sure everyone enjoys their meal."

“I think I’ve heard of this Hans, he seems quite a popular person so I’m looking forward to tasting his food.” Cerese smiled warmly.

"I believe I can safely say you won't be disappointed in either Hans or his food. He really goes above and beyond to make sure everyone has a good meal and a good time." Jason answered.

“Then I can’t wait to savour his wonderful food” Cerese smiled. “Along with your wonderful company.”

Jason blushed at Cerese's compliment. "I know you will love his food. I am quite sure of that. As for my wonderful company, the verdict is still out on that." He smiled broadly at her.

“Have more confidence in yourself Jason, or just take my word for it.” Cerese grinned. “This is going to be a wonderful evening I’m sure of it!”

Jason nodded and smiled Cerese. "Alright Cerese, I will take your word for it and yes this is going to be a wonderful evening."
