Quinn looked at Phoenix. She had ‘popped’ into the captain’s ready room early in the morning, not surprised to find her friend sitting at the desk, all but waiting.

“Well don’t you look chipper this morning,” Quinn said calmly

“And don’t you look like you are looking for trouble.” Phoenix replied calmly back. “or looking for time with a willing female.”

Quinn grinned. “Anje is delectable, but I have not slept with her.”

“yet” Phoenix said calmly.

“Yeah, yeah yet.” The Q replied.

"Quinn" Phoenix sighed. "Its madness and you know it. I cannot order Anje not to have anything to do with you and you know that as well, but consider what will happen when you leave."

"Look Pene, stay out of it. I am not sticking my nose in your love life.. how is the older man by the way." Quinn tossed her red hair.

"Oh go bite a sun." came Phoenix's reply. "Ken and I are very happy thank you very much."

"Tried that once. Burnt my mouth." Quinn mused. "So enjoying shoreleave?"

"Just tell me why you brought us here."

"nope. I have my rules like you do."

"Like you ever cared for Rules Quinn."

"I did. Once. Hey I could be a captain now myself you know."

"Nope your mouth would have gotten in the way, that and sleeping with your crew is not looked on favorably."

"Says the woman sleeping with an enlisted man."

"There is the difference grasshopper, I sleep with 1 man. You sleep with everyone you can get to."

The Q smirked. "True. But maybe Anje will be the exception?"

"You hurt her Quinn, I will find a way to make you pay. You know I will."

"oh? Have feelings do we?"

"Anje is a friend and a member of my crew. That makes her my responsibility. And I am not about to let you screw her up."

Quinn's face went serious. "I Won't. I know what she has been through. I am not using her Phoenix. I won't."

"See that you don't." Came the captain's icy reply.
