Phoenix was pissed. A member of her crew had failed to report in. Last thing she needed was this. She summoned her acting Chief of Security and Marine Co.
"Lieutenant Morris and Captain Azhul to Captain Lalor's Ready Room please."
At hearing her name over her comm badge, Naxea made her way to the bridge, running into Lieutenant Morris on the way. "Any idea what the captain wants," she asked as they stepped onto the bridge.
It felt like Jason had just left the bridge and now he was back. He saw Naxea and nodded to her in greeting as she spoke. " I don't know, I would hazzard a guess as it's something to do with ship security possibly we are the 2 officer to call when that is a issue." He said conversational. " You wanna guess?"
"I just hope it doesn't involve that damned Q," she said as they approached the door to the captain's ready room and she pressed the chime button.
"Come!" The captain Called out
Naxea entered behind Morris and came to attention. "Captain Azhul reporting as ordered."
Jason walked into the room and stood infront of the Captains desk next to Naxea. "Lieutenant Morris Reporting."
When the two entered the office, Phoenix waved them to the chairs before her desk. "We have an issue."
Naxea's curiosity was getting the best of her as she sat down in the seat. "What is it, Captain? Did that Q screw something up?"
"No Quinn didn't do anything. Ensign S'hib is missing. On the planet."
"Missing?" Naxea gasped, leaning forward in her seat as her mind raced at what could have happened to S'hib. "He was fine when I left him to attend the staff meeting earlier."
"When the shuttle did not return, a flight controller went down to retrieve it and find out why. He found, signs of a struggle and no signs of the ensign." Phoenix stated. She held out a padd to each. "And lets be honest. The Ensign is very hard to miss."
"I request permission to go down and try to track Ensign S'hib down," Naxea said. "Whoever took him can't be too far away and the quicker we act, the better our chances of finding him."
"Indeed. You both need to assemble teams and start looking." Phoenix ordered. "And I do not want more going missing."
"Understood, ma'am," Naxea said, wondering why Morris was being so quiet. "We'll get to work on it."
Jason had been quiet up till now. " Do we have any Information on who might have took him?" He asked putting together plans in his head.
"None" Phoenix said. "And we are tracking all vessels coming off world. No life signs that match his yet."
"Which means either S'hib is still on the planet or whoever has taken him may have a cloaking device," Naxea thought out loud.
"True I have science scanning the atmosphere for any distortions and such. You both should get moving. We have only a limited time before the trail becomes cold." Phoenix said.
"Understood ma'am," Naxea said as she stood. "I'll grab some Marines and investigate the site of the ambush immediately."
