Roger stood outside the Security Office, but unlike the last time he knew his Chief was inside. The letter he had removed was safely hidden away, it would be his security blanket if the crap hit the fan again like it did on the Amethyst. Lia sat in her office and wondered where her diary entry had gone, she had hand written a page and placed it in a small jewelry box in the office. With S'hib missing and Morris gone before she'd written it, the rest of the Security staff were busy else where finding out what they could so the office had been locked. Her Office chime now sounded and she looked up, the chime had interrupted her chain of thought.

"Enter", Lia was distracted and so wasn't fully aware of Moxton now standing on the other side of her desk. "Lieutenant JG, Moxton, Roger, reporting". Lia now turned to see her new Deputy for the first time, "Sit down Lieutenant, your making the place look even more untidy than it already is". Roger sat down, "You seen distracted Commander, do you want me to return later?" The light Scottish accent caught Lia's attention, "Just stay put Lieutenant, I seem to have lost one or two items that's all". Roger watched as Lia now readied herself, "Right Lieutenant, so your my new Deputy. I'm Commander Holmes, and your here on temporary assignment is that correct?" Moxton nodded, "That's correct Commander, but if this works out I might make it permanent".

The response made Lia sit up, "Might make it permanent? I thought you'd applied to Star Fleet Intelligence, or have you changed your mind?" Roger shook his head, "No Ma'am, but I somehow think my test scores weren't that great". Now she understood, "Think positive Lieutenant, you never know". Roger just smiled, "Plus my disciplinary record might go against me, I left my last post under somewhat of a cloud". Lia picked up the PaDD Moxton had placed on her desk, "So I see Lieutenant, you want to explain this slight faux pas". Roger looked at the floor, "I wasn't aware that the Chief of Security had a girlfriend, so when this girl turned up asking all sorts of questions I arrested her. Seems besides being his girlfriend, she was also the Captains daughter". Lia now had to stifle a fit of the giggles, "No, I can see how that might go against you. But wouldn't that make her to young for the Chief to date?" Moxton just sighed, "It has something to do with temporal slips and misalignments, I don't fully understand it my self".

The final statement now also confused Lia, "Say what? I don't quite understand, but that time slip put you here". Roger just nodded, his mind thinking of the paperwork he had put away. Lia stood up and put out her hand, "Welcome to Security and the Elysium". Roger now stood also and took her hand, "Thank you Ma'am, just for the record. You don't have a boyfriend do you?" Lia nodded in response, "Oh I do, and just for future reference. He's the XO of this ship, so I wouldn't go arresting him either". Moxton winced as Lia answered, "Oh great, nothing like sinking before I even get to float".
