Sami sat at the table with Tayalas, watching Gallia and Kara dance, "See, that's what you need most in life, Tay." Sami said, pointing to her mothers, "Someone who loves you and wants to be with you."
"Sana." Tayalas nodded, her mommies definitely seemed happy. She was happy, too, Sami had brought her a cookie, one with chocky chips.
"Yeah, don't end up like me." Sami shook her head sadly, watching as Lunara passed by with her date, Struck out on that one big time...
"Sami..." Tayalas said, offering a broken piece of her cookie to Sami, she was sad and if there was anything Tayalas knew it was cookies, especially chocky chip ones, helped.
"Thanks, sweetheart." Sami smiled, taking the cookie and munching on it, "You're the best, Blueberry."
"Anks." Tayalas smiled, laying her antennae against Sami's chest and listening to her heartbeat, she loved that, it was soothing and usually sent her to nap nap.
"Just wish I had someone to keep me company." Sami shrugged, "I mean, someone to keep me company the way your mommies do, not saying you're not great."
"Sana." Tayalas replied, poor Sami was still sad and she was out of cookie and Sami was too big for a Sib ride, she might be sad forever.
"Hey, you know what? Not a problem." Sami smiled, getting to her feet, "I think I see a whole table full of cookies we haven't tried yet, and I bet there's some chocky milk, too."
"Sana!" Tayalas exclaimed happily, enough cookies and chocky milk could fix anything, even sad Sami. She wrapped her little arms around Sami's chest as best she could, "Luboo."
"Love you too, cutie." Sami smiled, maybe she didn't have Anya, or Lunara, or anyone, but at least she had a home and a family, A lot of people don't have that, got to remind myself to be grateful. "Yeah, kiddo, this is gonna be a great Christmas."
