Matias had some down time so he went to the lounge for a couple drinks. He smiled to himself as he looked out at the Andromeda Galaxy. He could look at it without missing his own life or being strangled by the tyranny of the past. Instead, he was grateful for the life back there and was glad to leave it all behind, even his dead mate.

Liselle was the reason for that. She helped him leave it behind, leave HER behind. And he had a dream last night where she appeared to him to say goodbye. She wanted to see him happy in his new life and said to let go. Remember the good times but leave the loss in the past. She was not the jealous type.

He lifted up his glass and said: "I will, my love, and thank you."

He had a new family, and it was the crew of the Elysium. A new love in Liselle, and he wasn't about to lose her like his other self.

There was plenty of work to do in Engineering and he had a good crew that he now trusted. Who could ask for anything more?

The universe was a big place and he was less than a speck of dust in it. It humbled him in thinking of it.
