Physical Description | Dark hair hanging to his shoulders, which are broad enough to make most women and more than a few men look twice. He has cheekbones high enough to need oxygen, and the sort of jaw that could be described with words like “chiselled.” His five o’clock shadow makes him look roguish instead of unkempt, and somewhere in his genes is a Greek god. He could provide the definition image of Tall, Dark and Handsome for the dictionary, and he gives off the sort of smoldering sexuality that burns through inhibitions - and underwear - like a hot knife through butter. |

Character Background
Personal History | Mirror Universe Unlike his prime universe counterpart, Mal's father William never ran into Pirates, no child was born, and the trigger for his parents split never occurred. On the contrary, William Garrison together with his ambitious wife quickly rose through the ranks of Starfleet, and is now a Commodore. He had high hopes for his son, and was crushingly dissapointed. Despite all the advantages his father's position offered him, Malcolm seemed nothing more than a womanizing wastrel, intent on sleeping his way across two quadrants and racking up enough notches on his bedpost that an unknowing eye might suspect termites. It was all a cover. Malcolm hated the Imperium, and was using his seductions to discover all manner of secrets and feed them to the Resistance. However, one evening his luck ran out, and he was discovered. His own parents had him tortured to give up his contacts. It was a close run thing, but he was saved from breaking completely by a rescue arranged by the Resistance. A rebel blockade runner attacked Commodore Garrisons ship, and sent a boarding party to get him. As a result, Malcolm was brought to the pirate ship Serpents Tooth where he met, and joined forces with, the MU version of Lianej Derani. Prime Universe Until he was seven Mal had a typically happy childhood, growing up on New Caroline, a small earth colony in the beta centauri system. It was then that his father, serving on the T'Pau, was captured by pirates alongside the diplomatic delegation he was chauffeuring to negotiations in the Cardassian DMZ. Will Garrison came back a changed man, and his marriage began to break down. When a baby, obviously part Boslic, was left for him at DS9, Malcolm's mother had enough, and she left Mal and his father. After that Mal grew up on the huge salvage ship that Will Garrison had made his home, at turns besotted and exasperated with his new baby sister. But its unconventional nature left him with a dislike of authority, a motley collection of friends with a similar attitude to authority, hard work and luxury, and a fairly flexible approach to the law that led to a life of dubious choices. |
