Character Background
| Personal History | Born in 2362 Rhen is the son of General Lucian Tal and Admiral Mara Tal both he and his brother Verrick was gifted with an I.Q. of 500 but have always been at odds with one another on how to use their gifts. As children, Verrick and Rhen always had a loving but occasional confrontational sibling rivalry with Verrick not afraid to flaunt his intelligence going as far as to boast how he was able to graduate with three University Degrees before the age of 16. Rhen following suit however was more wanting to keep his gift of genius secret due to the bullying he received growing up over it. He would purposely dumb himself down or become lazy in an act to be more normal a trait he still uses today. Rhen even went against the wishes of his parents to attend a public school with fake records so he could live out a normal life while holding back his talents. During his time in public school, the safe containing the money for the school was broken into and Rhen was able finally able to use his intellect to do well helping find the culprits responsible. By the time Rhen was old enough he joined the Royal Military studying law and military tactics. He would see action in the Drax-Rist War as a soldier on the front lines in 2383 before joining the Drax Vanguard as a sniper in 2384 and 2385. After the war, Rhen remained in the military before joining the Military Police as a rookie investigator in 2388. A position he enjoyed before being reassigned to the Royal guard of the Savette Family in 2392 he was placed on protection detail of Kiera Savette his future wife. Serving her and her family faithfully before being tasked to take part in the exchange program with the Federation in 2395. By 2396 Rhen would be assigned by the Drax Expedition Force to the USS Elysium to serve as an Investigator on board the vessel. |
