| Ambitions | Kodi has not put much thought into life after the Corps. He is too caught up in being a Marine, too look that far forward. He does hope to make it to Master Gunnery Sergeant and after that, maybe retire and take over the family pub. Other than that, his focus is on checking in on his widowed father and to do his duty as best as he can. |

Character Background
| Personal History | Kodi was born in 2360 on Starbase 1 to a vulcan mother and human father. His father was a career marine and at that time, stationed on Berengaria VII. Life was not always easy, as his father was moved several times and was not home as much as Kodi had wanted. His father though was his hero. When he was eighteen, there was no doubt in the young man’s mind what he would do. Despite his father wishing a better life for his son, Kodi enlisted in the SFMC. His father, Xandabar Gunn, had hoped, if anything, the young lad would apply to the academy and be a Starfleet officer. Kodi packed his bags and left Deep Space 5, never more sure of anything. Kodi has never regretted his decision on joining the Marines and has valued everything it has taught him. From his time as a Private, to serving as Senior Drill Instructor, Kodi has taken all of those experiences and hopes to put them to good use as First Sergeant of USS Elysium. Kodi still stays in contact with his father, and he strives each day to make his now retired father proud and to be a leader that people will want to follow. Kodi’s mother died unexpectedly from a fall and blow to the head two years ago. She didn’t say anything to anyone and was found one morning on the floor by his father. She fell into a coma and never recovered. Since then, Kodi has tried to keep a closer eye on his father’s well-being and dealing with the guilt of not being there when his mother was taken off of life support and died Kodi believes NCOs should be the example, not the exception and has done his best to live that, with a couple exceptions where his pride got in the way. He has been reprimanded twice for taking unnecessary risks during two different training exercises over his entire career. With those lessons, Kodi is looking forward to his future on the Elysium. |
