| Physical Description | S'hib is a Bipedal Mammalian equine, He is slender but muscular, able to lift a surprising amount despite his otherwise effeminate physique. Sequus have been described by Starfleet officers although standing on two legs, Resembling closely with earth Equine populations, Though somehow at the same time completely alien. Both sexes are noted as having long muscular legs which are similar in appearance to the hind legs of an earth horse, This also includes large hooves at the end of each extremity. Both males and females possess four nipples though the lower two on females are usually much smaller and without a breast, subsequently they lack any mammary glands and do not produce milk, though it is not uncommon for two much smaller breasts to develop that can. Their hands are four-fingered and evolved to be just as dexterous as other sentient humanoid species. Males within the race are known to be broader and physically larger compared to their female counterparts, but only by a small margin, Whereas the females have less pronounced and more rounded features, typically having a shorter nasal bone and overall shorter length to their skull. Skin and overall hair colours and patterns can vary greatly from each individual Sequus to the point it is used as a form of universal identification similar to how every human fingerprint is unique, the hair length can also vary greatly depending on which hemisphere and climate an individual has originated from - however, majority of the planet is tropical to some degree. The Sequus also possess long flowing tails and thick manes that run down the ridge of their back, sometimes connecting to the tail hair with some individuals. Both manes and tails are usually tied up in an ornate fashion, using jewellery or a patterned fabric to express themselves. Like all Sequellians, S'hib is covered from Hoof to brow in thick but very short hair, for which he is mostly greyish white with the occasional pure white splotch in various locations over his body, His long thick white mane is kept tied up in a neat braid with various ornamental silver cuffs, And his whitetail is tied up into a small knot so as not to get in the way of any duties he might have While not on duty he usually wears a small light wrap around his waist, similar to earth like kilts. As it is the least amount of clothing he can get away with. |

Personality & Traits
| General Overview | S'hib is fresh-faced and straight from the academy, having spent the last 6 years on an extended course to help ease him and others from his race into life within Starfleet. He is knowledgable and filled with a sense of duty to protect others. To him, Starfleet is his herd, it's just one he doesn't understand as well as everyone else does. Eager to learn and grow as a person, And to serve in whatever fashion he can. Personality: S'hib is a rather awkward person, his life growing up away from his own people has left him in a somewhat strange place, neither fully adjusted to Starfleet life, nor able to understand the nuances of social interaction between humans, everything for him is far more complicated than it should be. His own people and their culture have left them woefully unable to adapt to life off-world. He finds clothing to be very restricting and unnecessary but understands very few cultures see them the same way as the Sequus do. As with many things, The Sequus do them rather differently. Enjoying various types of music as well as a flair for cooking S'hib spends the majority of his time not on shift hiding away in his quarters, a place he can stop pretending and doesn't have to over analyse every situation so as not to cause upset. S'hib also enjoys playing on his guitar and singing though usually in private. |

Character Background
| Personal History | Early life and Sequus history S'hib was born on grew up as a child/colt upon his homeworld of Sequella, a tropical world with a single supercontinent called S'halgaea, that at some point in time had two moons Sequella orbits a Class G main sequence star called Sadel Sh'le and Dalu, who according to Sequus mythology are the twin children of Sequella herself. Dalu is the son and eldest of the moons, his orbit is stable and tidally locked just like earths moon luna. Sh'le is the daughter and youngest of the pair, she longed to be closer to her mother and broke apart in orbit, what remains of her is now scattered over the surface of Sequella. The fragments of Sh'le are small, black crystals with a weighty metallic feel to them. They are collected by Sequus and polished into small marbles or pebbles, this process tends to make the black stones shimmer like oil on water, after which they are given to offworlders or Sequus who are leaving Sequella as souvenirs to take Sh'le back to the stars Around age 7 he and his parents along with several hundred Sequellians moved to earth as part of Starfleet and Sequella's migration initiative, this was an incentive for members of his race with young children to broaden their horizons and actually move off-world, something his kind had never done before. Arriving on earth his parents already had jobs secured and although struggled to adjust to their now very small herd. They did so nowhere near to the degree S'hib would. It wouldn't be for a good few years before S'hib would adjust and actually make any friends, and by age 15 still loathed the clothing he was forced to wear outside his home. During 2389, A week after his 16th birthday S'hib was encouraged by his parents to apply for Starfleet. Although he did struggle tremendously with the psych exam, which almost cost him his position within the academy he was accepted after earning a high overall score in his exam. During his 6 year extended program to help integrate species with remarkably different cultures to that of the wider federation, S'hib almost washed out when he misunderstood a social interaction which on his homeworld would have been perfectly normal, but unintentionally caused offence to a superior officer. Thankfully the matter was dealt with once the true nature of the events came to light, though he was left rather embarrassed afterwards. However, he did redeem himself during one particular event in which the academy came under a terrorist attack, though it later turned out to be staged and part of the courses exams he still acted bravely, escorting civilians out of harm's way and though unarmed would have saved many lives had it been a real attack. Graduating 2395 after his 22nd birthday S'hib became one of the first of his race to join Starfleet, Though as much as he was proud of the uniform he now wore, he still detested wearing it alongside other clothing. |
