General Overview

Tajana listens more than she speaks in most company because she believes when one speaks they are always giving away their secrets, even when they believe they are masking them. She is an astute observer of people, and trusts no one, not even her commanding officers. This has served her well enough in the Romulan Empire where the Tal Shiar may always be looking over your shoulder, though it has frustrated her commanding officers on more than one occasion. She rarely consumes alcohol without an inhibitor on hand, something she carries, because she doesn’t like to lose her wits. Tajana is disciplined and controlled. If she is observed losing her temper or lashing out, it was most likely a calculated move on her part - a tactical decision. Everything, even personal affairs, are a tactical decision as far as she is concerned. She is often utilitarian in what she chooses to wear, her clothing must serve a purpose whether that be quick movements and easy access to concealed weapons, an attempt at seduction, or something else.

Character Background

Personal History		Tajana was born in 2355 in a secluded and rural area of the Ahai district on Romulus. Her family held land in the region for centuries, giving them influence with the region’s representatives in the Empire, and the occasional ear of the Praetor. Her parents did not raise her to rely on any continued influence or to expect that things would be given to her. She was taught that all things are temporary and can be taken from you in the blink of an eye. She is the middle child of three and only girl born to her parents, and although she and her brothers were borderline wicked to one another as adolescents, they are among the few people in her world that she trusts implicitly. She learned independence and survival skills at a young age. In addition to learning how to live off of the land, and track animals and be wary of predators, she also learned to fight. Her parents believed that to survive you could not be weak, and her childhood was not easy. She was given challenges, many of which would be considered distasteful to most, especially to a Terran mind. She embraced Kormerek, an ancient and vicious martial art used by the Romulan people. Any object could be considered a deadly weapon if used appropriately. After she learned to protect herself, it was time for her to protect the Empire. The Federation and their growing coalition of worlds, and continued collection of allies was a threat to the autonomy of the Empire and the peace and structure that the maintained within its borders.
