| General Overview | Calm, softly spoken, has a wicked sense of humour though and loves to go out and socialize. She loves to relax in her cabin as well. Refuses to speak about her long absences in her life before the fleet and refuses to talk about her grandparents as well as barely mentioning her father or mother. She and her father had reconciled but she rarely speaks of him. Calista is bi-sexual. She avoids mainstream counselors, and has permission from Starfleet medical to utilise her personal counselor on Earth. |

| Personal History | Calista was born on 4th of June 2156, Full name… Aleshanee Of Clan Haelant to a young El-Aurian couple on the El-Aurian homeworld. Her parents were members of the Haelant clan, a powerful family on El-Auria. When the Borg assimilated her world she was only 3 years old. Her parents and her family managed to escape. (2159) for nearly 5 years her family travelled the galaxy in search of a new home. They found it in the year 2164. They landed on Earth. Where her name was changed due to its complexity to Calista. Her father and grandfather were both biologists and her mother and aunts had extensive knowledge in Engineering and medical sciences. Her family soon found work in Starfleet. Calista is an only child. Her mother died in the year 2167, when an experimental warp drive blew. Her father heart broken left Calista with her grandparents and left Earth. For the eleven year old child this was a terrible shock for her young mind to handle. It was shortly after that, which Calista refused to speak. Her grandparents, in despair sent her to a boarding school in Switzerland. St Helens School for girls. There she worked silently, not speaking for nearly the full 7 years she was at the school. Her grades were good enough to get her into Harvard Law School which she accepted. By this stage she had accepted the fact that her father was not coming home and had slowly begun speaking again, though her Grandparents could still not get a word out of her. It was as if she blamed them for the happenings in her family. She attended Harvard Law and then upon graduation of her masters and PHD in law, she vanished from her family's sight for nearly ten years. The years 2184 to 2194 are kept secret by Calista even to her family. In 2195 she moved to Italy, where she enrolled at the University of Rome to study painting and art, She graduated with a Masters degree in it. She lived in Rome for nearly 10 years after that working in a restaurant as a waitress. She then moved to LA in 2211 where she enrolled in acting classes and stared in a number of holo films in the following years. Among them was a remake of Roman holiday (Won an Oscar for best actress) and Sunshine on Broadway as well as the TV series 90210: The New Generation (Won Emmy for best supporting actress), which lasted a good ten year run. In the year 2235 she left Hollywood. Calista went to New York where she joined a Law practice called Morgan, Jackson and Associates. She went in at an entry level position and stayed there for nearly 50 years. By that time she had made Senior Partner. She left with a hefty bonus and put most of it into trust. In 2286 she again left Earth, this time she went to Vulcan. She lived on Vulcan for 30 years, she has never discussed WHY she went to Vulcan nor will she tell anyone. From Vulcan she went to Risa where she bought a bungalow and a bar. She still owns both, the Bar is called Seashell's and is run by the manager. She stayed on Risa for nearly 35 years. After all what is time to an El-Aurian? She then returned to earth where she bought another bar in Paris, calling it Seashell's as well and then another in London. The chain of bars known as SEASHELLS is currently very well run and there are at least one bar on Vulcan, Two on Betazed, Risa now has three and Earth has opened 2 more. In 2356 she decided to finally join Starfleet. Her grandfather was by now a rear admiral and had been pushing her for years to join. So in 2356 she took the entrance exam but she failed it deliberately. Her grandfather was furious. And arranged for her to sit it again, telling her, she would sit it until she passed. So she passed the second time around. Now a member of Starfleet she did her 4 years at the academy and an extra two at Starfleet medical. She studied hard and became a doctor. With an emphasis on Trauma medicine. Calista’s first assignment was on Starbase 36. She worked hard and was soon transferred as an Lt.jg to the USSCambridge D as a Trauma Specialist. When She was transferred to the Enterprise Calista worked hard but was a bit too reckless in her duties and while on a mission to a pre-warp culture in 2365, she was reprimanded for disobeying a direct order, She went down to a planet against Captain Reynolds orders to save a local of that planet. Her actions saved the person's life but because of this she was demoted back to Ensign. After that Calista put her head down and got to work. She received three ribbons during her time on the Cambridge at Wolf 359. They were, The Starfleet Cross. The battle of Wolf 359, the Battle of Wolf 359 Ribbon and the Battle of Wolf 359, Borg Engagement Ribbon. In 2370 she was transferred to the USS Washington where she spent the Dominion war as a Lt.jg to Lt. She was wounded during one of the major conflicts around DS9 and was awarded the purple heart. She had been wounded while trying to evacuate DMZ refugees. Calista stayed on the Washington until 2379, before she took a leave of absence. After a few years she re-surfaced on the USS High Guard, a ship of Starfleet defectors as their CMO with the rank of Lieutenant in 2383. Calista was one of the main officers who joined the defectors and knows that some of the junior crew still are not fully with them. In fact, Calista herself was not a true defector. She had been recruited by Starfleet Intelligence. Her past and background made it believable for her to be a traitor and she worked diligently to bring the crew to justice. It took her a year with help to bring the High Guard back into Federation hands and she did things best left unsaid. Calista retreated to Earth and undertook a two year counselling degree. Then she returned to the fleet for active duty. Calista spent two years on the USS Carlyle as a Trauma Specialist, using her skills to support those she could. Then the transferred to the USS Arcadia where she spent 3 years in the same role. In 2393 Calista transferred to Obsidian Command, as their Chief medical Officer. But she hated it and thus took a leave of absence for 12 months before taking on the surgeon's role on the USS Cassiopeia. In 2397 she transferred as a junior counselor on the USS Elysium and got her rank reduced to Lieutenant Junior Grade. She has kept herself under the radar, and since the ship has been stranded, has taken on teaching in the academy. |
