Character Background

Personal History		Born on March 10, 2361 to Iaber and Henhis Dri, Kiadri's earlier childhood was one often mired in less than desirable themes. Iaber, his father, was an middling scholar who struggled to find success among his peers and projected his dissatisfaction often on his family; his mother, Henhis, was often described by her peers as resentful and stern. He grew up in the family home in the city of Bara, where they lived with his maternal great grandparents Saanir and Nianhel who Kiadri often preferred to associate with due to their much more peaceful nature; Kiadri often credits them with his personal nature, and often talks about them, much more than his parents. Beginning in 2373, Kiadri was struggling to attain the elite marks necessary to succeed in Trill academical institutions, originally aspiring to be an engineer like his father. Around this time, he became friends with his maternal cousin Nianhel, who encouraged him to leave their homeworld and join Starfleet - their relative, Saanir, was often prone to sharing stories of their families long past as warriors, hunters, and crafters, and bemoaned his decision late in life to migrate to a large city. He took his cousin's advice after a falling out with his parents, and left for Relva VII to take the Academy entrance exam. Despite his lack of success on his homeworld with academia, he surprised himself with succeeding on the entrance exam with high marks in most fields, and soon departed for the Academy. While at the Academy, Kiadri was a student in the Tactical School, and was at some point referred to the Advanced Tactical Program which he successfully passed. During his four years, he received excellent marks in the Tactical School and similar programs, but also ensured to get above average marks with engineering, chemistry and most of his classes; he also joined the boxing and calico teams while he was there; he had a close group of friends while there, notable among which was the Denobulan scientist Liera who he maintained contact with upon graduation.
