| Physical Description | Orven Tash is difficult to read as conventionally humanoid. A skeletal exo-frame of polished black chitin and living circuitry surrounds a narrow biological core, making it unclear where armour ends and body begins. A ceremonial facial mask conceals the mandibled mouth. Four crystalline sensory eyes are arranged in paired vertical arcs and emit a faint violet glow when processing dense information. Fine threads of dark biotechnological material shift beneath the exo-frame like muscle under translucent skin. His movements are precise, economical and almost unnervingly still. Thaih’ea posture contains little of the unconscious motion common to most humanoids. When Tash turns his attention to someone, all four eyes tend to settle upon them at once. |

| General Overview | Cold, clinical and exceptionally controlled. Tash does not waste words on reassurance, outrage or theatrical threats. He prefers exact statements, probabilities and consequences. He is capable of courtesy, but his politeness often feels like a diagnostic procedure rather than warmth. He rarely lies directly when omission will accomplish more. He also does not consider many of his civilisation’s actions morally exceptional. To Tash, harvesting, relocation and forced population transfer are instruments of state survival and resource management. That makes him more disturbing than a sadist: he can discuss atrocities in the tone of someone discussing logistics. |
Character Background
| Personal History | Tash served within the Thaih’ea transit apparatus for decades and rose through the branch responsible for recovering failed aperture sites, abandoned laboratories and damaged long-range transit technology. He was never one of the principal designers of the old gate network, but he knows how the Thaih’ea catalogued, secured and dismantled it. His career places him close enough to the old transit programmes to be useful, but not so central that he knows every secret. This is important. Tash should not become a walking answer-key to Erebus. He has also participated in diplomatic coercion: negotiating the surrender of colonies, arranging population transfers and offering weaker governments limited autonomy in exchange for access, tribute or silence. Why He Is at Zyphera Tash is NOT part of the summit’s founding coalition and should not initially sit at the principal negotiating table. He arrives under the Zypheran Neutrality Doctrine as an accredited external representative after rumours of Erebus become impossible to suppress. Zyphera’s laws permit even hostile powers to request representation if they obey station rules. |
