The small space given over to the sickbay on the Serpents Tooth was light and airy, and as pleasant as it could be made. The terran laying on one of the worn biobeds no longer looked like five miles of bad road. Hasbat, the doctor, had had more experience than any one needed at treating victims of abuse and torture, and had fixed the broken bones and burns. The deep tissue damage to the organs would take a bit longer, but the Terran wasn't at risk of internal bleeding anymore.

When he was ready to remove the sedation he notified the Captain, who arrived with the QM and her Romulan friend not long after, forming a loose ring around the bed. There was also some of The Bosuns heavies, just in case the Terran woke up and did something dumb. Hasbat nodded to the Captain, and shut off the drugs the biobed was administering, and gave him a shot of stimulant. It would only take a few seconds for the man to come round.

After a few seconds there was a moan and then another as the human eyes fluttered a few times and finally opened. "Ohhhhhh." He said then "OH! This isn't the shuttle. Where am I and who are all of you?" Looking up at the several strange and a few menacing faces.

Mishka hung back, she knew Terrans and their reaction to Romulans. She wanted to ask a multitude of question, but for now Lianej was is charge and she would ask the questions. Her vessel the Havraha wasn't that far away now, soon she could take the fight back to the Terran Empire.

A Boslic woman, mauve hair starting to run to grey, the trident in her forehead deeper, spoke. "I'm Lianej Derani, and you're on my ship, The Serpents Tooth. None of my crew is going to hurt you. " She'd give him that reassurance. She could always point out that Mishka wasn't part of her crew if he got stroppy. "We'd like to know who you are, and what you were doing with an Elysium shuttle." She'd work her way up to universe hopping if he didn't volunteer the information himself

"I'm indebted to you." He said honestly. Anything, well almost anything beat being dead. "My name is Garrett Lovejoy. As to what I'm doing with an Elysium shuttle, I stole it." He said simply. Not giving her any other information.

"We could tell that from the state it was in. You know you're supposed to wait for the bay doors to open at least a few centimeters wider than your shuttle, right?" Lianej smiled.

"I've heard that but there wasn't time for that. Trust me." Lovejoy replied.

Lianej's eyes slid to Mal, who gave her a devilish grin, and sketched a bow. "I hear that a lot from terrans. I find it healthier for my mind, my body, and my bank balance, to not believe them." Her QM gave an expression of mock despair, clutching at his heart, and she couldn't help but smile. "Why should you be any different?"

"Good point." Garrett agreed and by that logic why should I tell you anything Other than what I already have?"

Lianej shrugged. "Because we're used to helping people out against the empire. We could have left you on the shuttle to die. And now we may well have the Elysium breathing down our necks. I think you owe us at least an explanation and a breifing on what you were doing so we can judge how much trouble you're going to be."

"Oh just good Samaritans eh? Okay. You want an explanation, I'll give you one. I'm a spy for the resistance. I had big news for them when I was caught and subjected to the Empire's method's of tell us what you know. I escaped, stole the shuttle and here I am with you." Garrett replied.

"Are they likely to come after you? Or give you up as dead?" How juicy was the big news? Would the ISS Elysium follow them?

"Hopefully the men in black think I'm dead. The news I have is big and the Empire doesn't want it getting out. You can see the punishment the shuttle took. It's system's were failing when you came across me.

"And we torpedoed it," Mal pointed out. "Lianej, if he's got something, we should help."

Lianej glanced back over her shoulder to her friend. Mal was a romantic, his instincts would always be to help overthrow the empire. Mishka was a steadier, calmer head.

Garrett was silent. He just looked between Lianej and the male and waited for them to get back to him.

Stepping forward Mishka now put her question, "I think your holding something back, now you will tell us just why the Elysium is after you. And don't say they think your dead, that shuttle has a tracking device and it tracked you to here.". She now stood over Garrett, "I disabled that tracker once we entered the shuttle, but they know your alive. So why are you wanted by them, and just for your information. I'm not part of this crew, so her assurance doesn't include me NOT hurting you".

Garrett looked at the Romulan woman who just showed up. He glanced at the others, mentally he sized up his chances of not telling them and decided that was not the best option. Especially if he wanted to keep all his limbs. He sighed, "They want me because I know they have Captain Phoenix Lalor of the USS Elysium as their prisoner and her ship with all it's secrets. It's being towed so they can take it apart piece by piece at a later date."

"Wait, are you telling me that the Elysium has crossed the into the other universe we have heard of? What is he thinking of?" Mishka turned and looked at Lianej, "We must attack the Elysium and release those prisoners, or both universes could suffer. One or two individuals crossing and the bridge will hold, but a vessel with over 2000 crew. The space time continuum will collapse and fold both universes in on themselves". She paused and thought for a minute, "How long before we arrive at the Havraha?"

Lianej listened to her ship, and calculated the course remaining. They were going faster since they torpedoed the shuttle. "Twenty minutes.Give or take. But seriously going after Taylor and his crew of psychopaths? I'll need to get it past the Focsle council." She looked to Mal, who was looking at Mishka with adoring eyes.

"Oh, she had me at Elysium." Mal said with a grin. "You'll have the votes in ten minutes, I promise. And the boarding drills crewed in twelve."

Lianej nodded. "Alright, get the votes." Mal nodded and left, "Two of us against the Elysium? I hope your cloak is fully charged." She grinned, showing sharp teeth.

Mishka turned to Lovejoy, "Tell me Terran, will the Elysium have it's shields down while it tractors it's counter part?" Her mind already planning and scheming, she needed to hurt the Empire how better to do that than destroy the Elysium.

"The names Garrett or Lovejoy not Terran and to answer your question, yes she will. The drain on towing a ship as large as herself is enormous. If you plan on attacking, know this you'll only get one maybe two shot before their shields come on."

"But two ships makes for four shots." Lianej pointed out, "All she has to do is to keep Elysiums eyes on her long enough for us to close in and lamprey on. Once the boarding drills bite, if they try and rip us off, they're exposed to vacuum. We can attach straight to the top of the saucer section, right on the bridge if we have to. But if this is a rescue, not a prize... Is deck 19 still where they keep the brig?..."

Glancing at the Terran, Mishka simply nodded. "We may have to take the engineering section, and work forwards from there. If only we could get another ship, the keep the Elysium busy. Lovejoy, do you think you could assist us in some small way?" She hated to ask this Terran, but they had limited numbers.

"I'll help in any way I can. It's the least I can do." Garrett replied.

"Good, you can aid in the assault on the Engineering section. Lianej, create a small force to push through to the cell area and free who ever you can from the other crew". Mishka now took a deep breath, "I will use the Havraha to keep the Elysium busy, she's a fast ship and hard to hit. Jolan ' tru my friends".

"As you wish. "Garrett replied. He was eager to get back into the fight and as the old saying went pay back was a bitch.

"We'll transport you as soon as we leave warp." Lianej promised her friend. "But I need to go brief my crew. Garrett, come with me." She gave Mishka a hug. "Don't get dead."

Hugging her friend back, Mishka replied. "I have no intention of getting dead, and I would appreciate it if you don't get dead". She smiled and watched as Lianej and Garrett headed for the briefing, then decided to just join them and find out what her little friend had planned.
