Nine of Twelve lead her version of Salom towards a runabout and boarded it. "Starfleet Danube Class Runabout. We will use its sensors and attempt to recover our cybernetics."
"That Quantum Flux that created two of us has me malfunctioning," Salom says shaking his head a bit.
Nine of Twelve began preparing the runabout for launch she scanned the area for specific borg signatures and then suddenly beamed three crates filled with implants and cybernetics aboard. She then plotted a course and launched the runabout. She promptly pushed the runabout to high speed. Leaving the planet and jumped the runabout to warp."
Salom could sense his other self even though they were so far a part. Each one is pulling at the other.
Kayala stood and walked towards the crates. Opening them, she examined her cybernetics. She then examined her extracted nanoprobes. "I can prepare these nanoprobes for our assimilation. We will have to fully assimilate each other one at a time. Who will be first? We require consensus."
"Me first because I can sense the Other tugging at me," Salom says as he placed his hand over his eye.
The alternate pressed a hypospay against his neck and injected him. She began to surgically implant cybernetics over the next four hours, ending with his exo-armor. When it was done. Nine of Twelve raised Three of Sixteen up then took her place on the tablr. "Is this right???"
"Yes and no," Salom says as felt quietness. "I am no longer connected to the hive. What happened?"
Nine of Twelve spoke. "We are dead to the Collective."
"I do not want be connected to the hive," he says he placed his hand up. "You are not talking like you are connected. Are you?"
"Negative, I am not linked to the hive mind.
"Then what we should do," Salom asks.
"We could assimilate.... But I don't want to assimilate. I must have coherency." Nine of Twelve noted. "We are borg, but we aren't."
"We must merge with our former selves," Salom said as he looked around. "I am sending several Borg here disconnected. I think the Hive disconnected them."
Nine of Twelve spoke. "We will find them and link with them all. First we will link our minds together. It is what we are. You told me I was Borg, I've accepted I am Borg."
"Many of us all this cube are no longer connected," Salom says holding her. "We will find our other halves and be whole again."
"They will be heavily defended." She mentioned.
"They might be sensing a tug as well," Salom answers.
Nine of Twelve spoke. "They will become a part of us, Then we will find the collective and submit for reassimilation to the hive mind. I do not want to feel the guilt of everyone I assimilated."
"We will find them and be free," Salom says looking at her. "We are we and if we cannot forgives ourselves then what is the point."
Nine of Twelve cried. "I do not want to feel guilt. We should be Borg!!!"
"No," Salom says quietly. "We are El Aurians."
She looked at him. "I will remove your cybernetics... Then... I don't know... All I remember is being taken and assimilated."
"Do so," Salom says, "It will be over soon."
