Season 4: Episode 2: Rest And Relaxation
Location: Gary and Lia's quarters at resort
Timeline: Current

After Gary and Lia had an afternoon of romance, he was reminded that still needed to talk to Phoenix about preforming the wedding
ceremony for them. As he got ready to go to talk to her, he thought of just how far he and Lia had come in their three years together.
The first time they met, they argued, fighting like a cat and a dog. Only an undercover trip to Risa had put a thaw in their rather frosty
relationship. The second year saw an improvement in their relationship, they were civil even friendly and were growing closer in their
off duty relationship thanks to off duty talks, understanding what each wanted and clearing of the air.
The third year showed marked improvement in their relationship. They could now be classified as a couple even if they had an occasional
dust up now and then. Their capture along with Liselle and Phoenix had drawn them even closer. As they drew strength from each
other from their shared ordeal. Lia's 'problem' which dealt with her sexuality had put a strain on their relationship but they stuck it
out as he stayed by her side as she got the help she needed.
The latest hurdle they had overcome was the most recent, their being trapped and escaping the mirror universe. Where they had come
face to face with their evil mirror selves. It was not a pleasant experience and one he still had trouble with knowing the torture his mirror
self had inflicted on Phoenix and the rest of the crew and the pain he had caused as well as the lives he had destroyed. He shed no tears
when he was informed of his mirror's death at the hands of Arri and Lia.
Now they were here on some well deserved R&R. it was here they had finally decided to tie the knot and get married. Lia was working on the wedding ceremony and he was sure it would be beautiful in both it's scope and presentation. With more than a passing nod to the Japanese
culture Lia was so enamored with. His job was simple, to secure Phoenix's services and the powers she had as Captain to preform the ceremony.
It had been a long journey to get to this place and now they had arrived and he couldn't wait for them to be married. Lia was his soulmate. She understood him just as Catlin had. She didn't force issues but she wouldn't be put off either. She was strong willed and independent. Smart and
tough when she needed to be. Had a great sense of humor. Sexy and attractive. Very much her own woman. She was his most ardent supporter
as well as his most vocal critic. She would point out when she thought he was wrong in either his decision making or opinion. However she wasn't pushy. She picked her time to talk to him, usually when they were alone. As their conversations weren't for anyone else. He smiled as he thought just how damn fortunate he was to have met and fallen in love with Lia. As he stood there he addressed the resort computer. "Play Still the One by Orleans." An instant later the upbeat notes filled the quarters as Gary Taylor a man very much in love a true romantic at heart, sang along.
We've been together since way back when
Sometimes I never want to see you again
But I want you to know, after all these years
You're still the one I want whispering in my ear
You're still the one, I want to talk to in bed
Still the one that turns my head
We're still having fun and you're still the one
I looked at your face every day
But I never saw it 'til I went away
When winter came, I just wanted to go
Deep in the desert, I longed for the snow
You're still the one that makes me laugh
Still the one that's my better half
We're still having fun, and you're still the one
You're still the one that makes me strong
Still the one I want to take along
We're still having fun, and you're still the one, yes you are
Changing, our love is going gold
Even though we grow old, it grows new
You're still the one that I love to touch
You're still the one and I can't get enough
We're still having fun, and you're still the one
You're still the one who can scratch my itch
Still the one and I wouldn't switch
We're still having fun, and you're still the one
You are still the one that makes me shout
Still the one that I dream about
We're still having fun, and you're still the one
You're still the one, yeah still the one
We're still having fun, and you're still the one

I had never heard this song before now, but went looking for it and listened. I'm sure Lia would have ended up in tears with the sentiment behind this post, well done on this post. This writer can weave the reader into his narrative, a skill I wish I could replicate.
