===== Three Days Before Victor's Reality Was Erased =====

Victor and his daughter Lara Barclay de Tolly arrived on the USS Elysium. In this reality, the captain was Captain Mira King, the sister of his late wife Tonya. Victor had in his pocket a diamond ring he would use later to proposed to Mira later. Mira on the other hand was putting it off but eventually she would have to tell Victor she had a son for him years ago. Needless to say, both were nervous.

Mira seeing the two of them step off the shuttle, she wanted so bad to lick her lips but she kept her calm. "Welcome back to the Elysium. Hope you had a pleasant trip."

"We did Aunt Mira," Lara spoke first. "Seems we have to stay here for a few days. The Excalibur went on a special mission to find the USS Malta."

Mira's eyebrow went up. "Odd they chose not to have their best Engineer on board."

"Captain Calhoun brought in a few Engineers to fill in for me," Victor sighed. He wanted so bad to tell her the reason why he was here was so he could proposed to Mira.

"Well you are always welcome to stay until they come back," Mira says winking at Lara. "I have a new Engineer I want you to meet. He is very gifted. His name is Napoleon Bond."

“I heard of him,” Victor says as he thought, “Wasn’t he the one found a new microscopic way of working on circuitry?”

“Yes but I do need to keep an eye on him,” Mira says looking at Victor, “I would not want him to create a new kind of nanotechnology. We just wiped out the Borg a few years ago. Victor, you seem different. Did you get a new haircut?”

“I did,” Victor blushes a bit, “Do you approve?”

“Oh yes,” Mira says holding Lara’s ears. “I could eat you all up.”

Victor chucked. “I certainly hope so and so would I do the same for you.”

Lara removed the hands of of her delicate ears. “You do know I could still hear you two. I swear. You two need to get a room.”

“My apologies my one and only niece,” Mira says smiling. “Just your father is so irresistible. I can see what my sister saw in him.”

“I wish I would have known my mother,” Lara sighed. “All I know of her late the videos I have archived on my IPADD and stories you two tell me about her.”

“I know Lara,” Mira shrugs. “I miss her too. At least, she brought you into the world. Victor, something I need to tell you later.” Mira was still quiet a bit nervous if keeping her biggest secret from Victor.

“All in due time,” Victor says. Mm holding Mira’s hand.

===== Engineering Three Hours Later =====

Mira brought Victor and Lara into Engineering to meet several of the new personnel, especially Napoleon. Victor sees the bright young Ensign developing an Artificial Intelligence Interface between himself and the ship’s computer AI. Victor did not say anything but observe until Mira did the introductions.

“Napoleon,” Mira says coughing a bit to get his attention. “I have two I would like to introduce you to now. Napoleon, this is my brother-in-law Victor Barclay de Tolly and his daughter Lara.”

Napoleon stood up. “Ah yes, of the USS Defiant and the USS Excalibur. Nice to meet you.”

“Likewise,” Victor says as he looks at Napoleon’s project. “I see you are creating a link between you and the ship’s computer. Be careful you do not create a feedback that places you into a indefinite loop.”

“Yes,” Napoleon smiled, “That would be disastrous. That happen on the USS Malta.”

Victor sighed. “I know.”

Lara pretended to be dumb as she looked at everything studying Napoleon’s innovations.

“Miss Lara,” Napoleon said as she finished looking at it. “This is delicate work’”

“All work is delicate,” Lara says with an eyebrow. Just be sure to turn it off when you are not on duty.”

“Well that is the beauty of it,” Napoleon answers, “I will put it on autopilot.”

Lara facepalms herself. It was not her place to say anything else but Mira picked up on it right away.

“Before you do that,” Mira says, “Be sure we do a full system test. My niece may be young but she is old enough to know what not to do.”

Napoleon looked at Lara. “I will get with Security and Operations to have them sign off on it before I do.”

Lara grinned.

===== Present Day in this Reality ======

Lara was studying this Reality version of Napoleon’s work. Seems he needed to be watch because he tested new projects live as in forgetting the testing cycle. His father was busy at the moment, so she decided to go see what Napoleon was up to in Engineering.
