Olivia was trying to decide on what to do for the day since she had the day off and it was rare that she got a day off where she didn't have anything planned out already to do. One thing she new was that it had been awhile since she had talked to her parents or brothers for that matter. Her brothers always liked to give her a hard time when it came to the guys she was interested in or dating at the time. Her parents were a bit more subtle about it with some of the guys that she had dated over the years, but not always.
Olivia went over to her desk to work on a letter to her parents as well as her three brothers. She knew that Marcus, Jonathan, and Adam might take longer in answering her back, but they would still answer her at some point as well as still give her a hard time in the letters that they would send back to her on various topics. She started first with the letter to her parents to let them know how she was doing and what had been going on her life lately work wise. Olivia knew that her parents had been worried about her from the last letter that she had gotten from them not to long ago, since the last couple of missions had been rough ones for her and the crew of the Elysium. At least time she could reassure them that things had calmed down for her and the crew for the most part other than having some drastic changes in the command structure recently. Olivia still wasn't to sure about the new Captain or the changes that had been made recently with some of the changes that had been made. She would just have to wait and see how things went over the next few weeks and then she would have a better idea on what might be going on with the changes that had been made recently.
After finishing up her letter to her parents, Olivia started working on letters to her brothers. It was hard to decide on where to start on a few things she wanted to say to her brothers, for it was always hard to discuss some things with them considering how they always picked on her growing up and giving her a hard time about some of her boyfriends over the years. The only one that she felt really had gotten their approval years ago was Casper right after they had started dating back while at the Academy. Now he wasn't here after they had reconnected after having been apart for so long. Olivia had wished that Casper had been able to let her in on what was going on as to why he transferred off so suddenly. She hadn't heard anything from him or even been able to find out anything at all in regards to his transfer off the ship. It made her wonder if he or someone else close to him had gotten into some sort of trouble and he got pulled to handle the situation and couldn't let anyone know about it for various reasons.
Olivia sent off each of the letters individually and hoped that writing things out to her parents and brothers would help ease their minds some and who knew what sort of response that she would be getting from each of her brothers in due time over the next few weeks. She knew that it could take a few days to reply depending on the missions that each of her brothers were having to handle at the time they received her letter to them.
Now that she had the letters written and sent off, Olivia still had to figure what else to do with the rest of her day off. While thinking things over, Olivia looked around her quarters to see if there was any sort of changes she wanted to make in order to make it look more personalized for herself.
