Mission: MISSION 0 - History Speaks
Location: Montgomery Scott and Pacifica
Timeline: 2389
2039 words - 4.1 OF Standard Post Measure

Phoenix had been on the Scott for 2 and half months now. During that time, She had met Mattias, or Matt as she had been given permission to call him, several times for breakfast after her shift. It had not escaped notice on the ship, her roommates had called her out on it several times and there had been a few snide comments sent her way but she had merely ignored them. Their breakfasts had been just between the two of them, quiet conversations and when out of sight of others, a number of kisses that had sent both their blood pleasures soaring. She knew it was hard for him, being that she was still innocent in that way, and she felt it was getting harder for her to stop the kissing at kissing.

The Montgomery Scott was now in orbit above Pacifica, where it was delivering diplomats for a conference. The crew were being granted shore leave, and Phoenix was wondering if Matt would be going down to the planet. So she made her way into Marine county with that pass card he had given her. She wandered around. The Marines didn't give her trouble, They knew better.

These past months had been the happiest of Mattias's life until now. As he and Phoenix grew closer and closer, he was finding it more and more difficult to be the gentleman that he was when they were alone. However, he remained good to his word to Phoenix. He never pushed her to do anything, once she expressed that the current limit had been reached.

Of course, their time together was more than just kissing and cuddling. He had been teaching her more about himself, his past, Kara, even the adventures that he had had growing up on a deep space freighter. There was nothing that she couldn't ask of him to tell her. To this woman, he had started to lay out everything that made him who he was.

In his office, he was currently going over the final touches of the shore leave schedule to Pacifica. He would maintain at least a quarter of his Marines aboard the Monty at all times, during the month-long period that the ship would be in orbit. It was necessary to ensure that his Marines, who were constantly training very hard, to be given time to relax and unwind whenever the opportunity presented itself. He was still deep in thought when there was a familiar knock on his door.

Phoenix looked around the door jam and smiled at him "Hey" she said brightly. "Are you busy?"

Mattias already had a beaming smile on his face as he looked up. "Hey you! For you, never!" He got up from his seat and moved around from behind his desk to greet the woman he loved.

She stepped in and smiled up at him. "Was wondering if you have been given shoreleave?"

Mattias chuckled. "Given? My dear lady, though I may be taking residence on the Monty, the good Captain up top is not my direct superior. I can take shoreleave whenever I wish to. However, to give your question an answer, yes, I've got about two weeks saved up right now. Why do you ask?" He gave her an impish grin, knowing why she had asked such a question while in orbit of a beautiful world. He just wanted to hear her ask.

"I.. have a week granted, and I managed to secure a house on the planet. Would .. would you like to join me?" Phoenix asked softly.

Mattias wanted to jump at the chance immediately. However, he had learned from Phoenix that a calmer reaction was required. "I would be honored to, My lady." He gave her a joy filled grin. "When will you be heading down?"

"In about an hour or so. The chief is on the war path about paperwork but as mine is completed I can go." Phoenix smiled. "Transporter room 3 in say an hour?"

Grinning warmly, Mattias bowed again. "I'll see you there." Then, after leaning in to give her a tender kiss, he smiled and watched her leave. He could see a new level of excitement in her eyes, and a part of him perked up, wondering what she had in mind.

Turning back to his desk, he sent a quick message to the Monty's captain, informing him that he would be on the planet for the next week, at the least, and during that time, aside from an emergency, First Lieutenant Davidson, his Marine X-O, would be in charge of any Marine matters that would come up. He then sent a similar message to Davidson, telling her to only contact him if it was an emergency.

That done, he logged out of the system and made his way to his quarters to pack.

***one hour later***

Mattias was in the transporter room, dressed in a pair of light tan slacks, a white tanktop, tucked in, with a floral short-sleeved shirt, the top couple buttons undone. He also had on a comfortable pair of blue docksiders and a caramel colored belt around his waist. He had one medium-sized duffel hanging on his left hip, the strap slung over his right shoulder and down across his chest. In his right hand, he held a smaller carry-on size bag.

Phoenix entered the transporter room, dressed in a silvery-blue summer dress and silver sandals on her feet. Her hair was down and held back from her face by a silver headband. She carried a dufflebag over her shoulder. Phoenix smiled when she saw him. "Sorry to keep you waiting. "

Seeing how beautiful she looked, Mattias had to catch his breath. "Phee, no apology is ever needed. You a certainly worth the wait." He stepped aside, allowing her to enter the transporter chamber first, then followed, moving to the emitter on her right. "Ready?"

She nodded and the transporter chief checked the coordinates and then beamed them down.

They appeared on the front path of a beach house. Phoenix turned and smiled as it matched the description she had. Pulling a Padd from her bag she walked up the wide stone steps to the white wrap around porch and the teal blue door. "Its a two bedroom, two bath cottage." She said over her shoulder. The main bedroom, kitchen and living area face the back of the house and the sea. The main bedroom is upstairs." She unlocked the door and stepped inside.

She waited for him to join her.

Taking a deep breath, Mattias was suddenly very nervous. Not out of fear, but anticipation. Slowly, at first, he looked the home over, then, seeing Phoenix waiting inside for him, his heart skipped a beat. He could get used to a view such as this. As a warm smiled grew across his face, he made his way up the walk over the porch and through the door. "This looks like a beautiful home," he said, though his eyes weren't on the interior, but on Phoenix.

"I thought so when I saw it on the listing. One day, I am going to buy a place on Earth like this. Something that my family cannot take away from me." She smiled and then a blush crept into her cheeks. "I thought that as the second room is rather small, you wouldn't mind sharing the main bedroom."

Tilting his head forward, he replied. "So long as you are comfortable with it, I would love to." Mattias would be careful, to only go as Phoenix wanted things to go. "I suppose, the first thing we do is to put our things away?"

She nodded and closed the main door and then headed up the stairs. She paused half way up. "I am comfortable with it." She had made up her mind.

Smiling softly, Mattias followed Phoenix up the ornate, yet comfortable, staircase, the comforting feel of well built wooden stairs bending slightly under his weight. As they entered the large master bedroom, he was impressed. "Wow! I could get used to a bedroom like this!"

She nodded. "The view is lovely." Phoenix placed her duffle on the floor near the bed and walked to the glass doors that lead to a terrace. "If I owned a place like this I would never leave." she said softly.

Placing his own bags down, Mattias admired the view of Phoenix out on the terrace. Moving up to stand behind her, he gently ran his arms around her hips, and pulled her back up against his front. Tilting his head to her right side, he laid a few gentle kisses on the side of her neck. "I dont think I'd ever leave the bedroom," he said softly, as he kissed her behind her right ear.

She shivered in his hold but leant back against him to be closer. "hmmm and why is that? Cause its a nice place to sleep?" her tone was innocent.

"That," he replied, careful to not assume anything. "And because you're here, Phee. I would very much hope to spend as much time with you as you would honor me with."

Her lips curved into a smile and she turned in his arms. "I am glad you could get the time to come with me" she said softly looking up into his eyes. "I have been doing a lot of thinking of late and imagining as well."

Relaxing his hold enough for her to turn to face him, Mattias looked calmly into her beautiful eyes as he asked, "Thinking and imaging about what, specifically?"

"You, us, together." She admitted. "I know we have been what's the word.. dating? Seeing each other, for a couple of months and that we have gotten close in many ways, the last time we engaged in kissing, I was torn between going further or not. Today I am no longer torn."

Mattias smiled an interested smile. "Are you sure, my love?" While his mind was screaming to take advantage of the situation, his heart was steadfast in him taking things slowly, remembering that he would be her first. There was a tremendous amount of responsibility that came with that title. What he did during their time together this week, would forever stand as the bar for which any other moments of intimacy would be measured.

Phoenix nodded "Yes. I am 100 percent sure." She slid her arms around his neck as she spoke, "I have never been more sure of anything."

Having no more words to pose to her, Mattias moved his hands up her back and pulled her to him, as he leaned in and kissed her.

Phoenix kissed him back pressing close to him as she did so. Something about his kisses made her want more, they always had, now though she was going to make sure More happened.

As they continued to kiss, Mattias's hand slid down Phoenix's back, until they rest firmly on her tight ass, in one quick move, he had not only lifted her, but had spread her legs around his waist. As they continued to kiss, he turned and carried her back inside. When the reached the enormous four post bed, he lowered them both onto the plush comforter his body pressing down against hers.

Phoenix moaned into his mouth as his weight pressed her into the bed. She was not sure what to do, but let her hands roam his chest and back.

Slowly, Mattias released his hold on Phoenix and sat up. Keeping his eyes locked to hers, he unbuttoned his shirt and took it off, next, he untucked his tanktop and pulled it off, revealing to Phoenix, not only his bare chest for the first time, but the tattoo depicting Ares on his right shoulder.

Phoenix watched him in silence, her lips parted slightly. Slowly she reached out and touched the tattoo and traced her fingers along it.

Lowering himself back down, he braced his weight above her with his left arm and knees, while his right hand slowly moved over her, still covered, body.
