Jess entered Nax's domain with a bottle. She was there both for an impromptu celebration, and some business. She had an idea in regards to these New Cannanites to discuss with her. She entered the doorway. "So, someone went and made you a Lieutenant Colonel? I'm beginning to think Starfleet Command has truly lost it's mind." She grinned.

Naxea looked up, raising a curious eyebrow at her friend. She had been a Lieutenant Colonel for some time now. "Nobody ever claimed Starfleet Command was ever bright. What brings you by Jess?"

"New Cannan... And Colonel Phillip Green." Jess noted. "We both know the history. How Green attacked during Negotiations." She mentioned. "Nax I can bet you a bottle of 2291 Saurian Brandy special reserve that they are going to attack us.. The Problem is we're on their turf and they can keep on hitting us with everything they've got."

"It would be a bad move on their part," Naxea replied. "We're superior to them in almost every category...and they don't have a single starship that I am aware of."

"So the only option open to them would be hostages. Remember, Nax.. These people view us as alien trash." Jess mentioned.

Naxea could understand where these humans were coming from after having a bad experience with aliens prior. Many Bajorans had similar views towards off worlders after the Cardassians left--especially towards Starfleet. However, if they harmed any crew on this ship, she would make sure they would learn to regret having any thought of doing so. "They're just scared from their previous alien encounter. I take it your squadrons are ready to provide support if needed?"

"Yeah, but I don't wanna fight here. You know your history book, every time Green attacked during peace or negotiations. There was always blood. I don't need to tell you about the Geneva Massacre." Jess mentioned.

"Don't worry, my people have a long history of dealing with genocidal maniacs," Naxea grinned confidently. Internally, Naxea was worried like any reasonable person would. If these people followed Greene's playbook then things would get hairy fast.

Jess nodded. "Good. Have your people memorize the Geneva Massacre. It's one of Green's more famous treacheries. Have a good one, Nax."

"Will do," Naxea commented.
