Kaden was busy working on fixing the relay in the engine room he would be looking after Freya but he needed his ship back at peak performance. He finished tightening the last stem bolt on the relay before pausing to take a drink of water.

Freya had gotten bored lying in the medbay, the worst of her wounds had been tended but the age-old program had simply dressed her wounds and given her pain relief. She was going to have to wait until they reached the Elysium for anything more. Making her way out of the medbay she headed for engineering to see how Kaden was fairing. “Hey...” she offered a smile as she rested herself against a bulkhead.

Kaden popped his head out of the relay. "Freya!" He got to his feet. "How are you feeling?"

“Better than I was” She offered a smile. “Your medical hologram has covered my wounds and given me some pain relief, but I’m going to need to see a doctor get properly healed.” She motioned to where he was working. “How goes the repairs?”

"Just completed the last of them," Kaden replied setting his tools down. "Let me show you what is in my mystery boxes." He motioned Freya to follow him.

Freya nodded, following on at a gentle pace behind him.

Kaden led her to the cargo hold where one of the boxes was opened. "Luckily nothing was broken during our farewell party." He reached inside pulling out a bottle of alcohol. "Things I needed for my bar drinks, mixes, fresh ingredients...only the best and nothing less."

“Is that what they were after?” Freya looked at Kaden in disbelief.

Kaden set the bottle back inside and closed the box. "What were you expecting? Nuclear weapons?" He shook his head. "I am trying to forget my past life and focusing on this new one."

“Sorry! I didn’t mean to offend” Freya offered an apologetic glance. “I just didn’t know alcohol was so valuable that’s all.”

"To pirates anything is valuable," Kaden replied. "Whatever makes them a buck or two."

“That’s true” Freya nodded. “If my uncle had his way I’d have a price on my head for retrieval but I think he’s coming around to my way of thinking. Being out amongst the stars will bring who knows what in the way of opportunities for Drax!”

Kaden shook his head he wasn't exactly sure of that an alarm beeped from the cockpit. "Guess we will find out, sent word to the local Lord Marshal of this sector about your Consular status must be them now." He headed to the cockpit taking a seat at the communications station placing an earpiece in his ear before flipping a switch. A hologram of Freya's cousin appeared who happened to be the King's son.

“Jona” Freya nodded as she looked at her cousin.

“Princess” Jona nodded. “My Father isn’t pleased that you refused to return home, but...” he sighed. “He has rethought your Consul status. You are officially granted the status of Consul for Drax, on the condition that you endorse my father’s rule of Drax Prime.”

Freya bit her tongue, it was a very big ask especially when it came to her Uncle. She looked at Kaden for support and his opinion.

"Jona..." Kaden said in a stern voice.

Jona laughed pointing at Freya. "Sorry, I couldn't help it the look on her face was priceless." He busted out in laughter some more. "I am a sorry cousin."

Freya shook her head, Jona very often got on her nerves. “What do you want Jona?”

Kaden gently elbowed her. "Freya, I asked him to help me out on your Consular status."

"Yes, well don't call me surprised father revoked your status guess he hoped you come crawling home," Jonas replied clearly annoyed of his father. "Why couldn't it of been your parents, Freya?" He shook his head. "Father is too much of a staunch traditionalist."

Freya sighed. “I don’t know Jona, look I’m sorry okay. I just... wanted to get away from it all. So can you help me or not?”

"Of course, keep your panties on," Jona replied he picked up a PADD. "I know I can drive you insane cousin but I always admired you for the kind soul you are. You bring out the best of our family and are a true inspiration for our people." He entered a few things on the PADD.

"Father, may remove me as Lord Marshal of this sector and toss me in the darkest cell for this. But...there I just reinstated your Consular status and that bounty has been rescinded."

Freya smiled as she looked at Kaden before looking back at Jona. “Thank you, Jona, I appreciate your help. I owe you one.”

Jona waved her off. "Anything to stick it to my father for giving me this shit assignment. Just...promise me this venture of yours will benefit us all."

“The Federation is worth it Jona. It’s time our people had the choice of joining something bigger than just our own planetary system! More freedom, more choices.”

Jona smiled slightly. "Just be sure when you are made Queen you don't forget me."

“Me, Queen!” She shook her head. “That’s not me Jona, but perhaps I might need a regent in my stead at that time.” She offered a smile.

Jona leaned back in his chair. "We shall see when the time comes...in the meantime, I wish you a safe journey. By the way, we never spoke got it?"

"I am sorry your transmission is not coming in very well must be a failure in the comm relay," Kaden replied.

Jona smiled before ending the transmission.

Freya grinned. “Well... looks like I’m the official Consul for Drax again. Though once we get to the Elysium my first stop is Sickbay!”

Kaden sat up moving to the pilot's seat. "We will be leaving Drax Sovereignty space and enter Federation space in an hour." He grabbed a PADD and looked it over. "At the current speed, we will be to the Elysium in about three hours."

“I’m looking forward to getting aboard the Elysium. It’ll be nice to settle somewhere where I can start fresh.”

Kaden sat up from his chair hanging the PADD on the wall. "You and me both at least this time I don't have to do any cage fighting."

Freya nodded. “So what about us? Do you want me to be with you? Or would you rather I stay away?”

"Is this a quiz? Freya if I recall we are bonded asking you to stay away from is a great insult."

Freya nodded. “If I hold you to my people’s beliefs then yes it would be. In our custom, those who have chosen to bond will live their lives together until that bond is broken. Either by death or by the severing of bonds performed by our high priestess.”

"I dare not disrespect your customs, Freya."

Freya smiled. “Good, because I want to be with you. To be able to enjoy your company. Even if it’s just helping out in the bar from time to time!”

Do Consulars work in bars?" Kaden asked. "Thought they did boring political stuff all day."

“I may hold the position of Consul but I’m an exchange officer, I work where I’m needed.” Freya smiled. “Plus a couple of hours in the bar now and then won’t hurt any.”

"Well, I suppose I can figure out something for you to do," Kaden replied.

“I can always just sit there and look pretty” Freya grinned. “It might bring a few male customers into the bar!”

"Think you can draw a crowd?" Kaden asked.

“Ohh you bet I can!” Freya grinned.

Kaden pondered for a moment. "How about taste tester?"

“Mmm what would you like me to do? Maybe a little sexy dancing?” Freya grinned before wincing. “Actually I’m not sure I’d be able to do much with these burns.”

Kaden took a moment to look over her burns. "Yeah, let me see what I can do to help till a proper doctor can look at those." Before leading Freya to the med bay.
