Kaden tossed and turned in bed his shoulder still a bit tender from his encounter but it wasn't what was keeping him up. He tried to fluff his pillow and see if it help any and it didn't he looked over at Freya next to him sound asleep. With a sigh, he sat up made Freya a note grabbed his slippers and a shirt then left.

S.S. Redemption

Kaden beamed into his ship the sight and familiar sounds of his baby were soothing. There was no damage and everything was running at peak efficiency just the way he liked it. Well except for maybe a pink strand of hair on the pilot seat next to his remote left on it. He was glad those Ensigns took good care of her for him.

But it didn't stop him from checking the rest of his ship for signs of them snooping around as he went to the cargo holds he checked to see if they found his stash of Moonshine he made long ago. It was his best batch and kept a supply for himself luckily his moonshine was exactly where he hid it and took a jar.

Sitting down on an old cot he left down there Kaden kicked off his slippers and took a drink it was watermelon flavored really good tasting stuff. Laying on the cot he set the moonshine down on the floor and fell asleep.

Back in quarters, Freya awoke to find Kaden missing, “Computer lights 50%” looking around She spotted a note, shaking her head as she read that Kaden had gone to his ship. There were times she wondered if he had to choose between her or the ship, which one he’d choose. Putting on her clothes she was soon on her way to find him, carrying her pillow and a blanket with her.

Kaden was still sound asleep on the cot when he could hear movement someone was aboard the ship. He didn't bother arming the security systems so anyone could beam or climb on in. Rolling over and sitting up he saw Freya standing at the door to the cargo hold. "Freya, hey...I am sorry I left like I did I was having trouble sleeping."

“It’s okay I understand” Freya smiled as she walked over to Kaden’s bed. “Mind if I grab a bed too? I’d rather be here with you than be on my own.”

"Yeah, come on this cot is big enough for the both of us I usually keep it set up down here when I am doing late-night inventory on my own," Kaden said moving over while encouraging her to join him.

Freya smiled as she moved onto the cot cuddling up with Kaden. “Tell me something, when you were....dying, did it change anything for you where the two of us are concerned? What I mean is...” she paused. “You were always reluctant to show that you loved me before, because of your enemies and the risk of people knowing about us.”

"Honestly, when I had this near-death experience.... again I couldn't help but think of you the whole time." Kaden began wrapping his arm around Freya. "Freya, you still like those red jade sapphires on your planet right?"

Freya nodded. “You know I do” she smiled as she looked curiously at him. “Why do you ask?”

Kaden reached into his pocket and pulled something out. "I know I have been always saying we need to keep our relationship a secret. But I met this woman in sickbay and she convinced me that maybe I should trust the people on this ship." Clutching whatever was in his hand Kaden held it close to him. "So despite my better judgment I want others to know you are with me."

Freya’s eyes gazed into his wondering just what it was Kaden had in his hand. “You’ve no idea how long I’ve wanted to hear you say that.”

Kaden smiled as he looked into her lovely eyes. "Guess I had a change of heart recently." It was a bit difficult to say it but despite his urge to keep their relationship a secret. He hoped to let his guard down on Freya profess her love for him wouldn't backfire.

Freya smiled her eyes misting over. “I love you, Kaden Ross, I always have! I left Drax to be with you, and I don’t want to be anywhere else.” She leaned forward kissing him gently and yet passionately.

Kaden loved it when she kissed him was one of many things about her he couldn't resist. "I have to tell you something." He shifted on the cot to face her better holding whatever he had in his hand in front of them. "I want you to protect something very dear to me cause it is also my oath to you."

"My oath is one day I hope soon I will ask you to wear this as my wife to be." Kaden opened his hand to a beautiful ring with a red sapphire that seemed to be very old on a necklace. "This ring was the last thing a woman who was the closest thing to a mom gave me before I never saw her again. I ask you to protect this with your life."

Freya looked at the ring and necklace with a shocked look. “Kaden it’s...beautiful. I swear I will never let any harm come to it.”

Kaden held it out for her to take. "Here, look after it for me." He said with a smile.

Freya smiled and held up her hair instead. “Would you put it on for me? I will never take it off.”

Nodding Kaden took the necklace and put it on her lovely neck but as he finished clasping it he paused looking into her eyes. Suddenly he locked his lips with hers just the need to let out his love for her and his fears melt away take over.

Freya returned her lover’s kiss with just as much passion, she loved him with all her heart. Her arms wrapped around him holding him close.

"Freya, care to get naked for me?" Kaden asked.

“Ohh and there I was hoping you’d help me out my clothes” Freya smiled as her fingers trailed to his clothes.

Kaden quickly got to work pulling Freya's pants and slippers off her legs noticing she had no underwear on. "I guess you were expecting this wasn't you?" He teased as he started pulling her shirt off.

Freya grinned. “Well you did leave me in bed earlier, let’s just say I was hoping!”

Freya grinned. “I was thinking you might like to share my quarters every now and then, a nice comfy bed instead of this hard cot! It’s not the most comfortable thing in the universe.”

Kaden snickered a few times before bursting out laughing. "Freya, my cabin is up another deck with a nice comfy bed for the two of us if you like." He pointed to the bulkheads of the cargo hold with his thumb.

Freya blushed, “Yeah I err...I forgot that! Okay, then so can I move in here with you?”

"Absolutely! I would love you to be with me on my ship." Kaden replied.

Freya hugged him happily. “Thank you! You have made me the happiest woman in the universe today, you know that?”

Kaden said nothing instead he kissed her passionately enjoying the moment they was sharing before falling asleep.
