Ed walked in looking for a nurse, "I seem to be retaining water, I have gained 15 KG since breakfast. Is this bad?"

Sthilg overheard the question and walked over. " Are you certain you've gained 15 kg since breakfast?" he inquired.

Ed said, " As an Engineer, I tend to calibrate my equipment before and after usage. So I thought I had a bad reading, so I re-calibrated it and checked it again. So either I have a gravitational anomaly in my workshop, and the auxiliary equipment sensor system pannel, or I really have gained 15 kg. however, this made me realize that I have not actually measured myself, since my graduation.

" Well let'sss put you on one of the biobedsss and take a look. " The lizard said leading the way. " Ssso how are you finding the ssship." He inquired.

Ed walked over to the Biobed. Hopping up, he laid down, looked up a the ceiling. "Nice painting." He said, looking at the exotic artwork that had to be difficult to paint. " This ship is huge, I am still getting used to finding my way around it."

" Thank you it'sss basssed on one of my wife'sss ssstardrawing'sss." The gorn said calmly as started up the scanner.

Olivia walked back towards the front of Sickbay after checking over some of the supplies in one of the back storage area's. "Back into see us already Lieutenant?," Olivia asked. "Is there a problem already?"

Ed laughed and said, "My eyes are too close together, my ex-wife said I have a blind spot right here." Ed was waving his hand in front of his face, then said, "nobody laugh's at my jokes. There are so many things to list!!", Ed just lay there grinning at the new arrival.

The gorn laughed slightly as he shook his head. " Well your actualy right you have gained a lot of weight from retained water." The gorn stated as the scanner results started to come it.

Ed said, "I am a desert creature, but I love the ocean! I am a example of a oxy-moron!"

" Well, i need to find out why your gaining weight so quickly just lay ssstill." The gorn replied calmly.

“I can always drain the excess off and start an aquarium in my cabin!”, said Ed.

" Hum." The gorn said as he looked over the results. " How much sssalt isss in your diet?" He inquired.

ED thought for a moment," I add salt to my mash-potatoes, veggies, and a bit to my meat's in the form of sweet baby ray's barbecue sauce! Normally I just use MRS Dash to give the replicated food flavor. All my rare minerals and heavy elements that my bodies would need, and used to get from my home world atmosphere come from Solarian Guild Food ration packs which I take once a week. My grand parents were raised on a Class H world Tau Cygna V. My mother was born on a federation transport en-route to Solaria Prime, a desert world in the crab nebula. I was born on Solaria Prime.

" Well, you're very low on sssalt. what was in a Sssolarian ration pack?" The gorn inquired from his seat.

Ed said, "Well, Silica carbonate, used for my bones, Potassium nitrate, other meticulous mined nitrates, magnesium, iron, sulfur, chromium, manganese, molybdenum, yttrium and a few rare elements, that are in the 200's,on the table of elements. Why do you ask?"

" Jussst checking. You need to increassse the amount of sssalt in your diet. " The doctor explained.

"Might be a good idea to try doing a gradual increase to see which level works best," Olivia suggested. "Don't want to over load to much and have it back fire on the amount of salt used."

Ed reached into his left leg pocket of his engineering coveralls and pulled out a Padd. Looking up the ingredients list of MRS. Dash, he exclaimed, "Hmm I had always thought the MRS Dash had salt in it. It does not. My roommate back in the academy, used to say I used so much Mrs. Dash in my food, he was going to petition the company to change the name to Mrs Exclamation point!"

" I'll ssset your computer to recored how much sssalt you use. Come back in a few daysss and we'll sssee what'sss happned." The gorn replied.

As Ed was laying on the bio-bed thinking, just ad salt...He murmured "Ok, I will add salt to everything!"

" That's a little drassstic. Jussst add a little more to your main mealsss and let'sss see if we ssstill have thisss problem." The doctor replied.

" Ed smiled, then said"Sorry, i ten to over compensate, i will try to use moderation when it comes to salt. Thanks doc, give your grand child a hug for me...Later doc!" Ed hopped off of the Bio-bed and retreated towards the exit. Bio-bed mad his nervous system feel like some one was running there nails down a chalkboard. Ed headed back to main Engineering.
