Kaden sat in his office which was next to his lab where he created his drinks or improved current ones. He had made some progress on the menu as of late while overseeing some renovations to the bar. But now he was going over the books waiting for Freya and Vira to arrive to go over them with him.

Freya had to wait for a gap in her duties before being able to attend the meeting with Kaden & Vira. Entering Kaden’s Office she walked around giving him a kiss on her way. “Hi handsome.”

"Hey, sweetheart," Kaden began pouring him and her a glass of water. "Ready to go over the books?"

“Sure, just don’t blame me if I start yawning! I’m not used to my duty shifts yet and I’m way tired!” Freya grinned.

Kaden took a drink of water leaning back in his chair. "I'll try to make quick once my General Manager gets here."

Vira strolled in having power walked from operations to make the meeting on time. She grinned as she greeted them both, "What I miss?" She plopped down in an empty seat.

"Nothing at all glad you are here, Vira." Kaden replied with a smile. "Sorry to make you both feel like you need to run over at times."

"Nonsense. You love it." Vira chuckled as she relaxed further into her seat. She then pushed her sleeves up to her elbows wishing she had time to change out of the Starfleet uniform prior to the meeting.

Kaden grabbed a couple of PADDs handing one to each. "Well, maybe there are times I might be doing you a favor keeping you up on those Starfleet physical regulations." He teased.

Freya grinned as she looked at the PADD in-front of her. “Oh you keep me up on those physicals alright!”

Kaden blushed a little before he cleared his throat. "Ahem, well, first I wanted to thank you both for helping out at the Memorial despite the circumstances I feel it was a success. As I hope to see more of the crew come on by for a good drink and a place to relax after a hard shift."

Vira rolled her eyes at the couple but couldn't hide her smirk. "I agree, it was nice to see so much of the crew in attendance." Leaning back in her chair the risian rested both elbows on either side of her chair, lacing her fingers and resting her hands in her lap. "The renovations should be completed soon correct? I received word our new bar tender should be arriving tonight. I'll be meeting him ten forward for a more detailed over view of our expectations."

"Yes, good," Kaden began to bring up his notes on the PADD. "Renovations are slow but coming along nicely good call on your family referring them to us, Vira." He leaned back in his chair eyes still on the PADD. "Any other progress on hires?"

Freya sat quiet she’d been kept busy with her Fleet duties, she hadn’t really had chance to get involved with the running of the bar.

Vira let out a huff that blew her hair out of her face, "No. There's plenty of eager people who wanted to give it a try but I wasn't impressed with any of them so far."

Kaden turned to Freya in his chair. "How are we looking at finances? Do I need to fire Vira yet to save money?" He asked in a teasing manner.

Vira feigned offense, "Like you would ever!"

Kaden stuck his tongue out playfully at Vira.

Freya grinned. “So far you’re good, plenty of gold pressed Latium to pay your staff for the time being.”

Kaden groaned in agony he wondered if Vira didn't understand the importance of the bar to him. "Vira, this is important to me."

"It's important to us all Kaden. Ease up ol' boy!" She turned to Freya and winked knowing the gesture would urk Kaden.

Kaden grumbling feeling a bit annoyed placed his PADD on the desk. "What about the singers they fall thru as well?

"The only one I found worth hiring is caught in a contract with a ferangi for a couple months, then she'll be willing to join us." Vira said somberly.

"Well, I guess at this pace I might have to go with holograms." Kaden tossed the PADD on the desk. "Got nothing against holograms but real people are what makes places feel special."

"Well I feel like that may help with cost as well until we get up and running." Vira mentioned.

Kaden nodded as he fell silent for a moment.

Reaching into his desk he pulled out a pair of PADDs setting one down in front of each of the ladies. "I uh, want to talk to you both about something if I may."

Freya gave her love a serious look. “What is it?”

"I am offering you both a 10% ownership in the bar," Kaden replied.

Vira's brows furrowed for a moment, hesitant to reach for the PADD's Kaden had set on the desk before them. Confusion colored her face, "I don't know if you know this but... Starfleet doesn't pay that well. I don't think I could afford purchasing part of the bar."

“No, but I can” Freya gave Vira a smile. “Comes in handy when you’re part of a wealthy family line. Unless Kaden is offering us this to become full partners in the bar?”

"I don't want your money!" Kaden yelled as he got to his feet he didn't mean to yell but it seemed neither of them was understanding why he was doing this. Angry with himself he walked over to the counter across his office placing his hands on top of it and hung his head.

Vira was taken aback by Kaden's reaction. "Then what is it your trying to tell us Kaden?" The risian asked patiently.

Freya said nothing she simply waited to see what Kaden had to say.

"Ever since Freya and her family helped me change my life I wanted to build something special. That moment I woke up in a body bag I couldn't stop thinking of a lot of things one of them being the two of you." Kaden turned to face the both of them.

"Vira, I know we have only been together for a short time and Freya has always helped me. All the work you two have put in this place to get it going I hope one day Arcadia will be something special and the start of more Arcadia's out there."

The bartender's eyes started to get a little misty. "I just wanted to make sure if anything ever happened to me you both was taken care of. And I could entrust the two of you to keep my dream alive." He told them.

Freya’s smile faded a little as she looked towards Kaden. “Ohh sweetheart, nothing is going to happen to you!” She looked at the PADD in front of her. “I accept your offer.”

"I...I hope not but just in case anything is to happen I want to make sure I take care of you. And Vira have something from me as a token for how I appreciate her hard work." Kaden replied.

Vira opened her mouth but no sound came out. There was an abundance of mixed feelings keeping her from processing the news. When she joined Starfleet she had signed over the inheritance to her families resort, but not by choice. Her parents had just saw it best to not keep Vira tied to Risa or the business she loved but left. This gift Kaden was giving her warmed her heart immensely to the point she wanted to cry. She slowly looked up from the PADD to Kaden, her vision starting to blurr from the gathering of tears. "I...I don't know what to say...Kaden..."

Kaden waved her off. "Say nothing about it, still haven't got all the details worked out for all of us other than giving you both a minor share for now."

Vira smiled, feeling a warm budding grown in her chest at the gesture. "So does this mean I get a say in things like....decor?" The risan teased.

"Depends on what you are thinking." Kaden replied.
