A whistling from Sthilg's office as the lizard gently sanded down the wooden ring he was working on. Running the scanner through it he smiled. The diameter was just right.

A set of familiar footsteps met his ears causing him to put down his tools and hurry out the door. Seeing a familiar sight a smile beamed over his face as he ran to hug his friend. " Phoenixxxx" he yelled as he wrapped her in a bear hug.

Phoenix laughed and hugged the Gorn back. "Sthilg" She said with warmth. "You look well."

" I am. You look well yourssself. Did everything go well with the admiralty." he inquired.

"Yes, Highlaw is on trial, and my Black Watch crew are being reassigned to assignments of their choice. Kara I believe has asked to join your Medical Crew." Phoenix smiled. "And Miran and the twins are settling into our cabin once more."

" I'm glad they're all doing well. Come on let'sss get you ssseen to before the universsse throwssss another ssspanner at usss." he said heading for his office.

"Knowing the Universe, that is indeed possible." Phoenix smiled as she followed him. "Have you got all required supplies?"

" Do i ever not make sssure we're toped up?" Sthilg said picking up his wood tools and moving them to one side. " Sssorry about that i'm working on sssomething for sssomeone really ssspeacil. "

"Thats ok" Phoenix said with a smile. "And I am glad supply is not giving you the run around. I had heard they were giving other departments grief."

" That bad?" the gorn inquired as he tapped the biobed indicate her to take a seat. " What'sss the next misssion going to be anyway?"

"Command are not very forth coming at the moment about it. There is some conversation about a long range scanning mission, and then there was rumours of sending us to an archeological dig in sector 123. But who knows." Phoenix said as she climbed onto the bio bed and sat.

" Well let'sss take a look. Any complaints from the alterations made to hide your appearance?" He inquired.

"No, the removal of the nose ridges was pretty simple and while they itched at first it has been fine since." Phoenix said. "When I get the family settled I will bring Miran and the twins by, along with our newest members for a check up."

" Newest memeber? " The lizard inquired.

"Two. One is Tristi, we found her on Rigel X. An orphan. You may have seen her in the Cargo bay, skinny, dark hair, skittish i think the human word is, she is 16 or so. And Mattias, he is ... well he is my partner. We have known each other since I was 16. He will be joining the crew as the head of diplomatic protection detail for our diplomats."

" I'm glad you'll have your partner sssafe with you." The gorn said knowing the comfort of having someone beside you.

"He likes to think he keeps me safe" Phoenix smiled. "But he will come down to medical, and I will make sure he brings Tristi with him."

" I'll hold you to it. " The gorn said as he wheeled over to his office mini replicator and replicated a few pills. " What about your children will they be joining usss?"

"They will, Miran looked after them with my mother and brother while I was away, though neither my mother or Brother are here with us, they prefer to stay on Earth."

" That'sss good. I'm glad i never had to give them the note i was writing them." The doctor said softly.

"I am glad to have made it back in one piece let me tell you. It got a bit dicey at times." Phoenix said with a smile.

" I bet it did." Sthilg replied honestly. " How did ssstarfleet command take it when you hauled him in?"

"Oh you know, the mix of denial, recriminations that sort of thing. One idiot even demanded I be arrested for escaping prison. I was never arrested so he got shut down pretty bloody quick." Phoenix smirked slightly. "He is standing trial and will be found guilty I am sure."

" Here'sss hoping a permanent cryo sssentencing." Sthilg added.

"Yes, I agree," She smiled. "So am I in good health?"

" Ssslight deep tisssue irritation from your disssguise." Sthilg said holding up the pill bottle. " Two of thessse once a day for a week."

Phoenix took the bottle with a smile. "Sounds easy enough." Phoenix said as she pocketed them.

" And no more running off on black opsss oprationsss for the foressseeable future. " The gorn added.

"No fear of that. I am quite happily retired from that line of work" Phoenix grinned at him.

" I'll hold you to that captain." the old lizard responded.

She grinned even more. "Do not worry, Mattias is going to make sure I stay put from now on."
