A Pleasant and Needed Surprise

Gary was in his ready room, his thoughts on the Arizona and taking command of it when his computer dinged. Wondering what it was, he opened it and saw it was a message from Lia, Moreso it was a song from Lia, opening it he heard the song by the group Alabama. He leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes and listened to the song, it's words and the message it contained. As the song finished, a smile was plastered across his face. He played the song again and began to sing along. As it finished, he would need to thank Lia for this wonderful and oh so spot on message she had sent him. She was indeed his Queen of Diamonds, and he wouldn't lose her.

He thought how could repay this wonderful heartful message from Lia and he had it, with a song of his own of course. He smiled as he thought of the song he wanted to send. "Computer, play and send the song For Once in My Life by Stevie Wonder. to Commander Lia Taylor." The computer replied with its usual n monotone. "Message recorded and sent to Commander Lia Taylor."

Sitting there a bright and contented smile on his face, Gary hoped Lia knew just ow much he loved and relied on her. As he sat, he played Lia's song to him again. It's meaning clear and one he heard loud and clear.
