The three arrived in the Runabout named Lethe and they found themselves face to face with the ships EMH.

Aisha tilted her head at the sight. "Sergeant, I have two bio beds prepared and ready for your wounded."

"Commodore." Fernando said from Phoenix's side."Let me assist you in getting to your bed. Do you mind me placing my hand on your uninjured elbow?"

"Are you able to Chief?" Phoenix asked curious. "With your leg?"

Fernando smiled, not that Phoenix could see. "Do not worry about me Commodore. I can hop and assist you to your bed. It is a short distance." He answered earnestly.

"okay then" Phoenix said and waited.

"Very good Commodore." Fernando replied softly as he placed his hand at her uninjured elbow. "We will go slow as I said it is only a few feet." Fernando reassured Phoenix as he began hopping/guiding her to the nearest bed. They moved slowly and steadily. The slow was for Fernando as he didn't do any more damage to his leg.

The AI moved to help but she as very careful not to interfere. "Once the Commodore is on the bio bed Senior Chief, you need to be laying down as well."

"Yes Doctor." Fernando replied as he got Phoenix to the bed. "Commodore your bio bed is right behind you. If you take one step back and sit straight down, you will land on it. I will guide you down." Fernando added.

Phoenix did as he said and found herself sitting on the bio bed. "Thank you Chief" She said politely.

"You are most welcome Commodore. It was my pleasure. Everything is going to be alright now." Fernando replied as he hobbled over to his bio bead and down on it heavily. He could feel bone rubbing on bone as perspiration lined his brow from the effort of getting the Commodore to her bed.

Leilani waited until her colleagues and patients were settled before moving closer, she needed to get her own head injury properly sorted as her head was starting to pound again but Phoenix and Fernando came first. “I’m ready to help Doctor.”

Alisha gently pushed the Commodore to lay down and looked at Leilani. "If you can start with the Senior Chief, I will commence with scans of the Commodore's head."

Fernando had slowly laid back on the bed, the pain in his leg had increased dramatically. No doubt from his standing on it and hopping about. He waited for Leilani do to a more complete assessment. "Leilani, are you alright?" He asked looking up at her.

Leilani offered Fernando a smile. “I’m okay, just a headache. Let’s worry about you, let’s get that leg sorted for you.” She reached for some pain relief gently pressing the picked up hypo to Fernando’s neck. “That’ll help with the pain, now let’s get that break sorted out.”

Running a scan of Fernando’s leg Leilani turned the image for him to see. “As you can see it’s a nice clean break, which is good. We should be able to get this knitted back together nicely, but ... you will need to stay OFF that leg while it heals!”

Fernando glanced at the image before refocusing his attention on Leilani. "Yes, clean break good. Leilani, you are not okay. Get your head looked at, I am not going anywhere. I apologize for not following your instructions earlier. I only wished to help you with the other injured."

“I understand Fernando, I really do” Leilani offered a smile. “Now I’m going to set up the computer to sort that leg for you, the bone knitter can be uncomfortable so be prepared for that okay?” She set up the machine and let the bone knitter start it’s job.

Fernando nodded, "I am ready Leilani, thank you for telling me that the bone knitter can be uncomfortable. I promise to lie here quietly if you will go and get your head looked at."

Leilani grinned. “You’re persistent Fernando I’ll give you that. I’ll go and rest until the Doctor is available, then I’ll get my head sorted out.” She offered a warm smile. “Thank you.”

The EMH turned back to the bio bed and began scanning the Commodore.

"Any pain Commodore?"

"Yes, my head and arm of course."

"And still no sight?"

Phoenix shook her head. "Its common in Erisians with concussions"

The EMH merely continued the scans. "Your arm I can fix but you will not be able to use it for 72 hours just in case. As for your concussion I am going to start the healing process. May take a while."

Phoenix nodded slightly. "I understand" she let her eyes close though she was not 100% sure they were not already closed.

With the bone knitter set to work on Fernando’s leg, Leilani had a moment to rest. It wasn’t a moment too soon as the effects of her concussion kicked in and she passed out where she sat.

Alisha turned and sighed and was able to lift Leilani onto a bio bed and set the system to commence healing her. She checked on Fernando and moved back between the two female officers to watch their healing.

Alisha moved to check Leliani, she was not as badly off as the Commodore, the system already healing the betazoid-trill. She gave her a hypospray to ease any residual pain and left her to rest.

The Bone Knitter beeped and Alisha moved to the Chief's side. "Well this is going well" She said with a better bedside manner than most EMH's. "50 minutes or so and I will be able to release you. To light Duties."

Fernando nodded gratefully. "Thank you, Doctor. That is good news. How are the Commodore and Leilani?" He asked concern in his voice for the two women.

"Both will be fine. The Sergeant will be up and around in a couple of hours or so, the Commodore, a bit longer than that. Once you are healed, might we prevail on you to help find more wounded to beam them here?"

"That is indeed good to know Doctor. I know I am deeply worried about Heather and Cody." Fernando stated and stopped, this was not the time or the place to allow him to worry. He was needed to help rescue as many of the crew as possible. "Of course, you may Doctor. What specifically do you need me to do? Transport them here?"

"Yes either here or medical or if they are not injured to an evac centre." The EMH replied as she monitored the bio beds.

Fernando nodded; I can do that Doctor. We can use the Lethe as a clearing house treat those who are injured here or send to sickbay. Those who are not will go the evac center as you stated doctor."

~ A while later ~

Leilani stirred as she regained consciousness. Now her head wound was healed she was feeling a lot better than she had been.

Fernando saw Leilani wake up. "Welcome back Leilani. How do you feel?"

Leilani smiled as she sat up and looked towards Fernando. “Thank you Fernando. I feel much better, thank you. Have I missed anything?”

"That is good to hear. No, the doctor has set the bone knitter to repair my leg and she is treating the Commodore."

Leilani nodded. “I don’t suppose there’s been any word on my husband and son? Or my sister-in-law?” Her worry was plain to see.

Fernando looked to Heather and then back to Leilani, "No nothing yet Leilani. I am sorry."

Leilani nodded solemnly. “Thank you Fernando, I guess I have to hope that no news is good news. I just wish I knew one way or the other, my senses are still fuzzy after that knock to my head so I can’t contact George telepathically.”'

"Try contacting your son. It may be easier to contact him it maybe easier to make contact with him as his mind his wide open to all sorts of stimuli." Fernando pointed out,

“I doubt that would work, Hendor isn’t a telepath and it would take more effort from me to contact him. Until I’m up to full strength I won’t be able to even try.” She sighed.

"I am sorry Leilani, I was only trying to help." Fernando felt instantly bad. "Maybe you could pick up his feelings or your husbands and that would let you know if they are alright."

Leilani offered a smile. “I appreciate you trying to helps Fernando, you have family to worry about as well. I’ll find a way to locate my family, I have to!”

"I am here to help you anyway I can Leilani. Please do not forget that." Fernando answered with a smile.

Leilani nodded. “Thank you Fernando, I won’t forget that I promise.”

Fernando smiled at Leilani. He had made the offer to help her, he could do no more than that.
