Jess secured the tarps over some of the shuttlecrafts and transports. Mainly the ones not being used."C'mon people, Time is money here." A few of her pilots were dragging power conduits into the caves.

"Ma'am, what if we need the transports?"

"For the time being, we can use the smaller shuttles and transports to cycle the crew from the Ely, We're redirecting their auxillary power to our habitat's power grid. Go talk to the head doc about Hypothermia, and afterwards you'll understand why it's a painful way to die." Jess noted. "Any free reactor we can use will go a long way to making sure someone isn't thawing us out like a Christmas roast."

Phoenix Was walking around the makeshift camp area and came up to where they were keeping the shuttles they were not using. "Ah Commander Vaii. How are things going?"

"Well we're down here, we're covering the shuttles and fighters we're not using to make sure they don't freeze into blocks of ice. This weather can wreck havok on equipment." Vaii noted. "Is what they're saying right? Thirteen million light years?"

Phoenix nodded. "Yes it is,"

"We'll get back home, ma'am. We've had it way worse than this, if we got here, there's a way to get back. I think it's time to dust off Captain Janeway's Delta Quadrant Survival Guide. Either way, this crew will work its arse off to get home, as I intend to raise my son or daughter at my house near Dover, Ma'am. That's a promise."

Phoenix raised an eyebrow. "You are pregnant Commander?" she asked curiously.

"Me and Man'dar are working on a son or daughter, Commodore. And we're pondering rings. We want to do it when the time is right." Jess noted. "Which does not include us being stuck in the ass-end of nowhere thirteen million lightyears away from home." Jess mentioned.

"It was not in anyone's plans as I am sure you know, but congratulations on the progression of your relationship"

Jess nodded. "I'm having the fighters auxillary reactors tapped into our habitat's power grid. It should provide some additional energy for the heaters and replicators."

"And the Chief Engineer is aware of that?" Phoenix asked.

"I'll run it past him, It should be good, and I'll still have enough birds on hand in case things go to shit, and knowing our luck. Goddess damn it. I'm beginning to hate surprises boss. Do I want to be that way?" Jess noted. "I mean, I may want to soften up on that and accept Man'darr's surprises and no one elses."

"We all hate surprises Commander. " Phoenix assured her. "But life is like this at times."

"I do know this. The Andorians on our crew might be having the time of their lives in this place." Jess quipped. "Me, not so much. Betazed is a very temperate place to grow up on. That was back in the days I was all. 'Would you like a cup of tea, my lady.'" Jess gave her a sample of her highborn Betazed voice. "I wonder if you have an idea just how much I loved my father, and hated my mother for trying to make me into a porcelain doll." Jess noted, making a little small-talk.

The Commodore raised an eyebrow. "Try being raised as a broodmare." She replied calmly. "Thing is, Commander, neither of us are there anymore."

"Now we just have to get out of here." Jess noted. "We'll be ready for anything we'll need, Commodore."

"Good. Well make sure you take care of yourself as well though."

"You don't have to worry about me, Ma'am. I've been through the Apollo 13 simulation. This is just another one of those times kinda like the one Jim Lovell had to face, Only we have a bigger ship, a bigger oxygen tank that just exploded, and suffice to say, a relatively equal amount of distance to home, Ma'am." She smiled. "We'll get home. We just gotta figure this out."
