ON:

Andrinn had been ordered by several of his superiors to come to treatment or be ushered out of the Diplomatic Corps of the Federation. He wasn't excited about the idea of talking to some stranger about the various issues that he was having, but Andrinn knew that it could eventually help out in the long run. As he was waiting in the waiting room of Starfleet Medical for his counselor to be done with their previous patient, it gave Andrinn the time to think about everything that actually happened to him over the past few centuries.

Andrinn wasn't your typical Trill, nor was he your typical El-Aurian. He was a mix of the two and had gone through several generations, allowing him to see Starfleet and the Federation grow throughout that time. Andrinn was excited to see that some of the prejudices of his ancestors and others begin to shed off, but he thought back to even just about a decade ago when the Khitomer Accords were being put through both the Klingon Empire and the Federation.

Both the Klingons and Federation had deep seated hatred towards one another and Andrinn watched as though it would become all out war again because neither side could put aside their differences to become more friendly. However, before he could think more about it, someone came through the door and said, "Ah, you must be Andrinn Orin. Please! Come on inside!"

The person standing within the doorway was holding a PADD and ushered Andrinn to get up and come inside the office. Within the office itself were several plaques and awards in various medical and counseling fields. Counseling was something rather new to the Federation, at least in terms of being a separate field within itself. As Andrinn walked into the office, he thought about how new it was and that could have been part of his apprehension.

The officer offered up a chair across from the desk and told Andrinn to take a seat in one of them. Taking a seat across from the row of chairs, the Counselor said, "Please take a seat. I know this is all new to you, but once you get settled in, you'll be amazed at the work we do here."

Andrinn slowly let the words sink in before taking a seat closest to the door that he walked into. He wasn't sure if he should trust the Counselor or not, especially after the counseling sessions that he received as a kid back on Trill. Andrinn had vivid nightmares about Dr. Fahn, a Trill psychologist that should have been locked away long before he was.

As the Starfleet Counselor began looking over Andrinn's chart, they were smiling and said, "So, you're not fully Trill or El-Aurian, are you? It says that you're a mix of both species. Has that been hard for you?"

Andrinn didn't say anything for a few moments because he wasn't sure what to say. He was afraid that this counseling session would be just like Dr. Fahn's session back on Trill. But, Andrinn knew that it was either this or his career. Looking down at his own feet, Andrinn finally replied, "There's a long story behind that."
