When Thor Met Athena

Thor Magnus was with his cousin Leif at the Olympic tryouts. Thor was competing in wrestling while Leif was competing in fencing. They were in the gym lifting weights and other forms of exercising.

“Thor,” Leif said as he was spotting Thor as he was doing bench presses. “So it is down to eight wrestlers now. Only two will be chosen from each weight division. You are in the light heavyweight division. Three of you opponents have better records than you. Hope you have a strategy.”

“Hit them hard,” Thor answered, “Put fear in their eyes.”

All of a sudden they heard a dumbbell hit a bunch of other dumbbells. They both saw an Amazonian Physique woman. She was cursing out in Greek.

“Dang,” Thor said as his heart skipped a beat.

Leif smiled. “Why don’t you go check on the commotion. You should not let her get away.”

Thor nodded. He walked over to the blonde. He spoke first. “Mam. Are you okay?”

“No sir,” she said in a very angry voice. “That guy over there in the red hair just asked me if my breasts were real and then he asked for an examination.”

Thor glanced over to see who it was. Seeing it, he felt a tightness in his throat. “Mam, that is Eric Ericsson. He is one of my opponents in the wrestling competition.”


The blonde looked Thor straight in the eye. “Well do me a favor. Beat him good for his bad manners. By the way, my name is Athena Kazan. What is yours?”

“Nice to meet you Athena Kazan,” Thor answered,, “I am Thor Magnus.”

“Oh I heard of you,” Athena grinned, “You are one year ahead of me in Engineering at the Academy.” She checked Thor up and down as it took her breath away. “Tell you what, if you beat him, I let you take me on a date.”

“Sure but how did you know I was unattached?” Thor asked.

“I just know,” Athena replied not letting him know she was three fourths Betazoid as she started walking towards Thor. “Now I need to go. I am pretty upset and I need to go take a good …” She trips on a dumbbell as she fell forward as Thor was quick on his feet catching her as one hand caught her on the waist and the other was firmed on her breast. “Oh my. I did not meant for that happened.”

Thor was nervous a bit and speechless. Finally he said, “I know. Stay safe.”

Athena got back up on her feet. “I will.” She walked away as she could feel his eyes watching her walk.

After Athena left, Thor told Leif, “That is my future wife.”

“You wish,” Leif said with a quiet laugh.

The next day, Thor was matched to wrestle Eric Ericson who was the odds on favorite to win. He saw Athena watching from the stands. When the match started, he waisted no time taking Ericson down. Ericson was completely startled. Thor continued to play aggressive. Eric never played someone with such ferocity.

After the match, this was the first time Eric Ericson was shutout and this match eliminated him. He just had to ask, “Why did you play like a lion to prove something?”

Thor said diplomatically, “You see that blonde over there. She said if I beat you good, I could have a date with her. You insulted her by insinuating her breasts were not real. Just so you know, they are real and they are spectacular.”
