Sapphire and Scott arrived at the medical building and entered it.

Sapphire stomped snow off her boots and pushed her jacket hood back off her head.

Scott followed in behind Sapphire and repeated her actions of stomping his boots and throwing back the hood of his jacket. He gave her a sidelong glance. "I'm excited about this, what about you Sapphire?"

Sapphire nodded and looked around. She waved down a nurse and asked to speak with the Chief Medical Officer.

The nurse pointed to the small rest area where Sthilg was having a seat his artificial arm as far down in a jug of boiling water as he could manage. " Hello, there you two how are you holding up." He asked giving the two of them a warm smile.

Sapphire gave the doctor a warm smile. " We are well. Sorry to interrupt your down time Doctor."

Scott nodded, "Yes, sorry Doc but what we want to ask can't wait." He added with a smile of his own.

The gorn nodded as he pulled his arm from the water and gave it a flex. It seemed to have worked and cleaned out the frozen coolant. " Go ahead my dearss what isss it you need." he enquired.

"We are looking to take in two of the Orphans. The Henderson twins" Sapphire said softly "And we want to do things by the book. As chief medical officer we need to request your sign off and assistance with the process. "

Scott nodded in agreement. "As Sapphire says Doc. We want this done right and we can sure use any help you can give us in getting this done and we can give the boys some sense of home."

The gorn gave a small smile as he looked at the pair. " I'm glad you've decided to help, but you are fully aware of how difficult they will be? They will need lots of love, care and therapy to recover from what hasss happened."

Sapphire nodded. "Yes, we understand that. And we are not trying to replace their parents, we just want to help them."

Scott chimed in. "Like Sapphire says Doc, we just want to help them. Let them know there are people who do care and who do love them."

The gorn nodded a smile on his face. Some good news to come out of this mess. " I'll sssign of on it and take you to them. You will need to go through the normal proceduresss when we get home though." He said looking around for a oadd.

"Thanks Doc!" Scott replied happily, "Sapphire and I just want to get a little normalcy back into their lives along with a lot of love. Let them know there are people who care."

Sthilg found a padd and brought up the form. " I'll need both your sssignituresss, the sssigniture of a medical professssssional and sssomeone who can vounche for you. "

Scott looked at the CMO, "Can't you vouch for us Doc? You know Sapphire and myself."

Sapphire paused "He can't. We need someone else. It could be called into question if he signs as both CMO and vouches for us."

Scott held his tongue though he silently wondered who was going to question the CMO vouching for them. He knew them for goodness sake. So instead of popping off, he just nodded.

" Your right my dear. I could lose my medical licencing if I assign both and you two could losssse custody of the twinsss." the gorn replied giving the two a sympathetic look. " Sssurley sssomeone can vouch for you?"

Sapphire nodded "We could ask Samaire." She said to Scott. "She has her niece and such."

Scott nodded, "Good idea Sapphire. Let's go find Samaire and ask her."

Sapphire nodded. "Hold on, lets just call her here" she suggested.

"Even better Sapphire, call her." Scott agreed.

Sapphire stepped away and hit her comm and spoke softly. Then she turned and nodded. "She is on her way."

Scott nodded, "Good. Thanks Sapphire for calling her."

"No problems." Sapphire replied calmly.


10 minutes later the door opened and a woman entered, pulling her parker off as the door shut behind her. Samaire looked around with a small smile. "You called?" she asked as she stepped up to the group.

Scott spoke quickly, "Samaire. Sapphire and I need you to vouch for us. We want to take in the Henderson twins. Give them some normalcy."

Samaire considered it and nodded. "Very well.I can do that." She looked at the Doctor. "Doc?"

Sthilg smiled as he handed the padd over for her signature.

Samaire took the PADD and read it quickly, it was like the form she had signed for Skylah. She nodded and signed it easily. Then she handed it back to the doctor.

"Thanks Samaire"

"No problem." Samaire replied with a smile.

" Very good." The lizard replied as he looked over the padd. " Would you like to sssee them?"

"Sure would Doc. " Scott answered with a smile on his face.

Sapphire nodded. "They were in the Common tent last we saw." she said softly.

Sthilg lead the way into the common area and towards the area set aside for the children.

Sapphire moved along with Scott, holding his hand tightly as they followed the doctor

Scott's fingers were wrapped around Sapphire's hand as they followed Doc Sthilg to the common area to inform the twins of the news.

The twins were easy to find. Both sitting in a corner playing one of the video games. It was obvious to anyone they'd been handling the news as badly as anyone could at there age. Lack of sleep, anger, sadness and everything else mixed into one ugly ball of emotional trauma. They turned when they heard the doctor approaching. " Hello you two. I have sssomeone i'd like you to meet," he said in his grandfatherly tone.

Daniel looked up as Sthilg approached with Sapphire and Scott close behind. His eyes widened at seeing Sapphire and Scott and he nudged his brother with his hand. "Darian." He said quietly.

Darian looked up and studied the pair for a moment then he looked at the doctor. "Yes Doctor?"

" Thessse are Ssscott and Sssapphire." the gorn said stepping back and letting the two get a good view of their adoptive parents. " They'd like to ssspend sssome time with you."

Darian looked at Daniel and then nodded. "Okay" he said calmly. He had figured it would be this.

"Hi guys, remember us?" Scott greeted the twins. "We were wondering if you'd like to spend some with Sapphire and myself?"

Darian considered it. "You mean like live with you?"

"Yes,"Sapphire replied. "We are not trying to force you both, but if you are willing..."

Darian looked at the couple and then at his brother.

Daniel was silent for a moment then he spoke. "I like them Darian. I want to be part of a family again." He said softly but firmly.

Darian nodded "Okay." He looked at the doctor and then at Scott and Sapphire "okay, if its really okay."

Scott nodded at the twins. His smile was full, warm and friendly. "Boys, it is really, really okay."

Sapphire smiled as well. "When you are ready we will get you settled in. " she looked at the doctor "thank you Doctor Sthilg."

" Jussst look after them and make sssure they get the help they need and we'll be even." The gorn replied with a warm smile.
