Lia had woken up and found Gary's PaDD, she had played the songs and decided to try and return it with one of her own. But how to do it? Computer connection was supposed to be impossible when the force field was up, to stop any chance of escape or outside assistance of an escape.

But a little investigation by Lia sometime ago had proved that in the right cell in the right area of that cell, one could connect with the main computer. Phoenix had by chance placed her in that very cell, now she needed to find that sweet spot.

Carol Dolton was passing through when she saw Lia moving around the cell, "What the hell are you doing Lia?" Taylor had to think quick, "My husband sent me some songs, I'm just trying to find a sweet spot to listen to them." Carol raised her eyebrows, "Do I look cabbage looking to you? Now before I come in there and remove that device, tell me what you're doing." Lia now looked sheepish, "I'm looking for a sweet spot, only it'll allow me to connect to the main computer. I want to find a song and return this to Captain Taylor, ok?" Dolton now placed her hands on her hips, "And tell me why the bloody hell I should let you do that?" Lia looked at Carol, "Because you know I'm not about to escape, nor am I planning a raid on the brig area. Maybe you even trust me a little?"

Carol shook her head, "You got five minuets, after that I'm confiscating that device as being illegal and possible escape equipment." Lia look down and nodded, "Ok thanks Chief, I understand." In her short stay in the brig, Taylor had found Dolton was by the book, but she was open and honest with it. She knew when it was better to bend the rules and look the other way, but you only screwed Dolton over once. She never trusted you or gave you another chance ever again, once she was against you she stayed against you.

A quick search found the song Lia wanted, now all she had to do was download it and hand it to Carol to deliver. Taylor requested the computer to find and load the song, =/\="Computer find and load Skeeter Davis, End of the World"=/\=.

Why does the sun go on shining?
Why does the sea rush to shore?
Don't they know it's the end of the world?
'Cause you don't love me anymore.

Why do the birds keep on singing?
Why do the stars glow above?
Don't they know it's the end of the world?
It ended when I lost your love.

I wake up in the morning and I wonder
why everything's the same as it was,
I can't understand, no, I can't understand
How life goes on the way it does.

Why does my heart go on beating?
Why do these eye's of mine cry?
Don't they know it's the end of the world?
It ended when you said goodbye.

Spoken
Why does my heart go on beating?
Why do these eye's of mine cry?
Don't they know it's the end of the world?
It ended when you said goodbye.

As the song ended, Lia looked at Carol. "Will you give this to my husband?" Dolton, who had heard the song simply nodded. "Sure, but why? You and he went at it like cat and dog, this makes no sense." Lia smiled, "It's just us, it's how we say sorry and I still love you. I told you we weren't your normal couple."

Carol shook her head, "You got that part bloody right, you two are just plain weird. Christ knows how you ever became Officers, did the pair of you bribe someone?" Dropping the forcefield Dolton entered the cell, "You'd better surrender that device to me, I may have to enter it in evidence at your competency hearing. But I'll ensure Captain Taylor hears it first, nuts girl your just plain nuts."

Lia smiled and stood still, "Thank you Carol, one day I'll repay your kindness." Dolton looked at the ground, "I owe you more than I can say, lets just call it even."
