[ON:]

Orin was sitting in his new office onboard the USS Revere. He was given a more senior position onboard the USS Revere, especially in light of the peace accord between the Klingon Empire and the United Federation of Planets. Orin was curious as to how the accords were to play out over the next few years, especially since the Federation and the Klingon Empire were enemies for quite some time prior.

One of the biggest things that Orin noticed after the peace accord between the two accords was that the Klingon Neutral Zone was abolished with the aforementioned accords. The Klingon Neutral Zone was the space between the Federation and the Klingon Empire that the two superpowers were never to cross, let all out war was to ensue.

Orin was was worried as he sat in his office, looking over the accords between the two superpowers. But, he was quickly interrupted by the chime on his door. Looking up from the PADD he had been reading, Orin said, "Come in."

The face that he saw when the door opened shocked Orin a bit. The man that walked into his office hadn't been on the Revere for at least five years by that point, but when he walked in, the voice was smooth when it said, "Hello, Andrinn. Long time, no subspace. How have things been."

Orin got up from his desk chair and just looked at the man and said, "What are you doing back onboard the Revere. I thought that you left Starfleet after everything that Captain Kirk did back a few years ago?" The man stepped forward enough, allowing the door to shut behind him and allowing the two men some privacy.

The man sighed as he collected his thoughts. Orin looked him over and could tell that there was something plaguing the human. The two men had spent several years as colleagues within the diplomatic department onboard the Revere, but once the other man quickly left Starfleet and resigned his commission, Orin wasn't sure what had happened to him.

Once he was ready to speak once again and speak to Orin, he said, "Well, you see, I had to know what happened. There was too much that happened after Captain Kirk came back onboard the HMS Bounty that I had to get answers for myself. You know how Starfleet is about their secrets. If it's something that they don't want getting out to the public, they'll keep it that way. That's why I had to take up an offer from a friend of mine. He said he was apart of an organization within the Federation that kept it safe."

Orin was confused as to everything that his former friend was talking about. Orin just turned around to the window within his office, not allowing for his friend to look him in the eyes as Orin asked, "Hopefully, it's nothing to do with what happened down there on Khitomer. From what I've heard, it was a shit show down there and there were way too many people involved in stopping peace between the Federation and the Klingon Empire! Don't tell me you were involved in it all of that!"

Eric stepped forward and said, "Well, I know you and I served onboard the Zander for quite some time together. But, after I left that ship to join you onboard the Revere to see what the Federation was doing, I knew that the Federation had lost its way. That's why I joined Section 31."

Orin turned around and said, "Section 31? You can't be serious! From what I've heard about them, they're suspicious about anyone and anything that isn't human or Federation. How could you join them?"

Eric just stepped forward and smiled. He looked Orin over once or twice before he finally replied, "We're not just a humanistic orignaztion. We're here to make sure the Federation stays around for quite some time. That's why the people within Section 31 asked me to come talk you into joining Section 31 today. Would you ever consider joining?"

Eric opened the palm of his hand and within it showed a black version of the crest of the Federation. All Orin could do was to stare at it for a moment. He was in shock and didn't know how to answer Eric's question.

Eric just looked at Orin and smiled...
