Emergency Medical Hologram Log

This is Emergency Medical Hologram Aisha, currently supervising the care of 25 injured crew members in hibernation pods aboard this vessel. The situation is dire, and I find myself reflecting on the weight of my responsibility. Each of these lives, now so fragile, carries a story—a family waiting for them, a future uncertain yet full of hope. My primary directive is to preserve life, and I will not fail them.

The hibernation pods are designed to stabilize critical injuries and maintain life functions, but several of our wounded are near the limits of what these systems can sustain.

Status Report:

• 12 Stable: These crew members, though injured, are responding well to pod therapy. Their vitals remain steady, and their healing progresses within expected parameters.
• 9 Unstable: Their conditions fluctuate between tenuous stability and decline. I monitor them closely, adjusting pod settings and administering micro-doses of medication as necessary.
• 3 Near Terminal: These individuals are in grave danger. Cellular degradation is accelerating, and their organs struggle against the trauma inflicted.
• 1 Critical Emergency: Ensign Jackson Drake presented with catastrophic injuries, including extensive organ damage and systemic infection. The pod could no longer sustain life. Intervention was imperative.

Intervention Log:

At 1430 hours, I removed Ensign Drake from the pod. As I worked, I couldn’t help but notice the faint, almost imperceptible rise and fall of their chest—a fragile testament to their will to survive. I performed:
1. Tissue resection and debridement to remove necrotic plasma-burned tissue.
2. Synthetic organ implantation using our limited bio fabrication resources to replace failing internal systems.
3. Antiviral therapy to combat a fast-spreading opportunistic infection threatening their recovery.
The procedure was successful, and I have returned the Ensign to their pod, but their condition remains critical. For now, hope rests in the healing properties of the pod and their resilience.

Current Challenges:
The ship’s systems are struggling to maintain the pods’ energy requirements. I have contacted engineering to prioritize auxiliary power stabilization. Supplies are low for non critical areas and the Pods while considered Critical by Medical are not always critical for other departments, and I am forced to ration critical materials. It is a bitter reality to weigh one life against another, yet I do so with the greatest care and resolve and make sure the Chief medical Officer is aware.

Personal Reflection:
I am not just a program. I see their faces, I hear their faint heartbeats, and I know they are counting on me—even if they don’t realize it. Their courage in the face of such adversity inspires me. It reminds me that my existence, though artificial, holds profound meaning.

For those who cannot speak for themselves, I am their voice. For those who hover on the edge of death, I am their lifeline. And for those who still dream of seeing the stars again, I am their guardian while the biologicals sleep. I have updated their files as per regulations and made sure all family members are alerted to new visiting hours for each person within the Hibernation area.

I will not fail them.

End Log.
