After Khoal's death, Lia now made her way further into the prison. Her tricorder showed Erisian life signs, but the location just kept her going deeper into this hell hole. She came across a squad of Romulans firing into a crowd of prisoners, so she overloaded the disruptor and threw it into them. The resultant explosion killed or wounded all of them, the wounded didn't survive long as the prisoners now attacked in force killing anything they found alive. But she didn't wait or talk to anyone, she had to find Phoenix, Liselle and Taam.
Her mind went back over the past days she had spent in this place, the shame, the abuse. the mental collapse. But more than that, the separation from friends and colleagues. Just how would they react once all the dirty little details came out? Life with Gary was over, that much was certain. He had become distant again and she knew he wouldn't want her back, somehow that fact didn't bother her as much as it would have done before now. Firing now brought her back to reality, she ducked down and waited to see what was happening. A lone Romulan was backing down the corridor, he looked scared and seemed to be searching for a way out. Lia stayed hidden and waited, a crowd of prisoners now appeared following the Romulan. *Where the hell are all these prisoners coming from?*, she wondered.
Gary! Suddenly it all made sense, he was causing as much trouble as he could. *Great, just what I don't need*, she thought. With all this confusion and the Romulans on their guard, it made getting to Phoenix and Taam all the more difficult. With luck Liselle was holding the fort having beamed there, but all the prisoners she had seen were randomly attacking anyone in a uniform. Which placed her and Liselle bang in their sights if they found them, *Didn't think that one through did you Gary?* That thought made her mad, Gary surely would have known what would happen with all the prisoners loose? She moved forwards and again found her way blocked by fighting between Romulans and prisoners, this time she couldn't help without giving herself away. Turning back she searched for another route, "This is getting fucking frustrating" she muttered to herself.
She found an empty office and entered it, closing the door she sat with her back resting on it. After thinking about it, she moved the desk there instead and sat facing the door. *Lets just think this thing through*, she thought. She knew she had to find the others, but Phoenix's life signs seemed deep within the prison. Thanks to Gary's exploits of releasing the prisoners, her way was blocked with fights and skirmishes and Romulan guards shooting at shadows. Could she use the transporter? Possible, but she didn't want the Romulans interfering with the shuttle. She hoped her message was still being transmitted, she prayed the Elysium had by now picked it up. Just how many species transmitted Japanese songs over and over, with co-ords interspaced in them? But then it also depended on who was on duty at her station, if it was some newbie they wouldn't know and dismiss it as some idiot transmitting on an open channel.
A noise outside the office caused her to point the phaser at the door, she wasn't bothered who came through because she would fire without hesitation. The door was pushed, but the desk checked the movement. A harder push and a Romulan head appeared, Lia fired and the head exploded as she was on the top setting. She heard other feet now running away, she had no choice now she had to use the transporter. =^="Holmes to shuttle computer, transport me back to the shuttle"=^=. She disappeared just in time as a bomb of some sort was thrown through the door, the office exploded into a hell hole of death but Lia was long gone.
