After rescuing Lia and the other girls from being sold to the Orion Syndicate, Gary, Lia, Anje and Liselle beamed back to the Elysium. Leaving the other girls with Starbase security. Once back he thanked Anje and Liselle profusely for their help. He then carried Lia to his quarters. Once inside he sat her on the couch, wrapped her in a blanket and sat down next to her. He took her hand in his. "I have something to say and I want you to listen and let me say it. Once I'm done you can have your turn okay?" Lia nodded her acceptance.

Taking a deep breath Gary began. "I love you Lia Holmes, with every breath I take I love you. You make me complete. Your the best thing in my life. This time we've been apart has been the worst of my life. I want us to be partners in this journey. To share all life has to offer both good and bad, happy and sad. I also want you to know, you are never alone. No matter how bad the situation. Others may come and go but I'll always be here for you."

He looked into the eyes of the woman he loved more than life itself. "I want you to move in here. The quarters are big enough for two. You can keep your quarters if you like but I'd like it if you considered this your home now." He squeezed her hand. "I can't promise you sunshine and roses everyday. There may be some thorns along the way. But I do promise to love you for the rest of your life. What do you say?"

Glancing up, Lia looked deep into Gary's eye's. "Even after I've let other people do what they wanted to me, after I sold myself and humiliated myself. You still want me?" She now looked down at the floor, "Are you really sure I'm what you want? Because I now have a lot of baggage, more than I had before". She raised her eye's and met his, she waited to hear his response.

Gary leaned forward and kissed her gently. "You went through a horrible experience at the prison. You didn't know which way was up and I have always wanted you. What happened doesn't change that. Put it behind you and we'll move forward together. I think your a hell of a lady Lia. Don't let anyone tell you different."

She squeezed his hand, "I may have to go see Dr. Bashir again, I seem to have developed a slight kink. One that could embarrass you and me if other people find out about it". Lia moved away from Gary slightly, "It seems". She took a deep breath, "It seems I'm a masochist, probably because of things that have happened to me. Now you need to know that, before you get all excited about us living together". Her face burned as she blushed bright red, "You know what difficulties that might cause, and the embarrassment you might end up suffering". She hung her head, it was the first time she'd admitted it. And Gary was the first person she'd admitted to, it had to be the one thing any normal person couldn't take a chance on.

He listened to what she said and it made him love her all the more to face up to her problems. "I still want you to move in here with me. I think it will be good for both of us. As for Dr. Bashir, see him. If you think he can help. Do you want me to go with you? You aren't alone in this Lia. I want you to know that and as far as embarrassment, what embarrassment? What suffering?I love you and there's nothing I wouldn't do for you." He reached his hand out and gently raised her head so their eyes met. " Head up. We'll get through this. We'll be strong together and together there's nothing we can't do."

Lia tilted her head to the left, "Life could get very complicated if I do nothing, unless that is. You think you could control my abnormal desires, are you willing to turn sadist just to keep me satisfied?" She shifted further away again, "Gary you need to fully understand just what I have become, this isn't just something you can forget and hope it goes away". She took another deep breath, "If Bashir can't help, and you don't fully understand just what lengths I will go to just to gain relief". Her face turned bright red again, "You might end up having to act like Khoal, it can get that bad. I can end up in that much frustration, it's not a good place to go". She faced him again, "I want to move in, I want us to be happy. But I also need you to know just what you could end up with, things might end up messy and embarrassing".

Gary didn't rush an answer. he listened to what Lia said. "I understand and I'm willing to help you Lia. I heard what you said and I'm willing to bet that Dr. Bashir can help you with this. I want you here, Not changing my mind on that or you. I'm a big boy and I'm going into this with my eyes wide open because I know we can beat this."

She smiled at his reply, "You just don't give up do you? Have you even heard what I've said? Bashir might not be able to help, what would you do then? I need to know, because if you walk out I could end up in a Federation prison as some kind of pervert". She now reached out and took his hands and placed them on her chest, "Do you feel my heartbeat? It's racing, because I want this life your offering. But I also need you to fully except me, especially if things don't work out". She knew she was labouring the point, but she had to. She didn't want to hurt Gary any more, she didn't want to have that secret on her own any more.

"No. I don't. Not about people I care about. I'm stubborn that way. Lets see what Bashir can do. he's got quite the rep. If he can't help. I'll still stand beside you and do what I can to help you. I won't walk out and I won't leave you to face this on your own." he felt her racing heart. "You can have the life I'm offering, you just need to take that first step Lia. Now enough talk. You'll see Bashir and he can, no he will help you." Gary stated firmly.

Lia now placed her head on Gary's chest, "Ok you have what you want, go tell the Captain I'll be moving in. But when this place looks like a Japanese Tea House, just remember. You asked for it, ok?" It was a weak joke at best, but she had to try and make light of this situation. She slowly drew her hand down to his waist, then wrapped both arms around him.

"The Captain can wait." Gary answered softly. "I won't complain and I'll try to remember that." He bantered back he wrapped his arms and held her, no words were spoken and none needed to be. For right now Lia and Gary had found peace.
