Mission: Casperia Prime - A lesson in relaxation
Location: Casperia Prime- Remote Location
Timeline: MD3- 0700ish

Naxea, along with Warrant Officer Man'darr, PFC Durak, and three other Marines, all in full combat gear materialized on the surface where Ensign S'hib had believed to had been captured. This was Naxea's first Away Mission with WO Man'darr. The Capellan was an imposing figure...and not a bad looking one either. She noticed the disturbance in the sand near the location of the shuttle. She activated her tactical scanner and began to scan the area. After a moment, her scanner picked up traces of Sequus and Orion blood. "Fucking Orions," Naxea said as she logged the information into her scanner.

A stun blast came from the trees, but it missed, hitting the ground. A loud raucous laugh came from the trees.

Naxea cursed as the blast struck the sand near her feet. On instinct, she turned and raised her pulse rifle and fired off several shots as Man'darr and Durak returned fire while rushing for cover.

Naxea rushed to the opposite side, which offered little cover but was closer. She used the thermal imaging in her helmet, locating several heat signatures in the forest. She fired off several shots as anger built up in her, wanting to know where S'hib was. She opened a comm channel. "Azhul to Man'darr. I'll try to keep them busy while you and Durak move to flank them."

As she leaned out of cover, Naxea laid down a steady stream of phaser fire, unaware of Orions flanking her position

One raised and fired a stun blast at Naxea's back while the other sent out covering fire towards her other marines.

The force from the stun blast knocked her to the ground hard as her body tingled from the stun hit but was saved by her armor but would only substain a few another hit or two at stun setting. "Shit!" Naxea cried out as she spun around and rushed the distance between her new attackers and fired her rifle.

Man'darr and Durak were forced to take new cover, placing them farther away from the battle and their CO.

The group who had been behind the Major intensified their attack on her with stun blasts and then one of them changed to lethal fire to keep her team from her.

Naxea kept on the move but wasn't quick enough as she fell to the ground just before reaching the Orions. Her breathing was heavy as she fought to retain consciousness--her body felt numb. "Dammit," she cursed as she tried in vain to push herself off the ground before

"The Major's in trouble," Man'darr said as he broke cover, returning fire, trying to get back to Naxea with Durak following closely behind with a few Marines. Man'darr dropped to the ground as a disruptor bolt struck his shoulder. "Damn!" he cursed as he fought through the pain as he continued to fire and get back to his feet.

An Orion loped forward and scooped Naxea up over his shoulder as the others came from the trees to lay down cover fire.

"Warrant Officer Man'darr to Elysium," Man'darr spoke into his comm and only got static in return. 'Damn, they're jamming us,' he thought as he continued to fire. At the moment, they were outnumbered. "Fall back!" he ordered just as an explosion from a photon grenade launcher round landing nearby sent him airborne, landing hard several feet away and unconscious.

Durak rushed to Man'darr as he continued to fire, along with two other Marines, helping him to drag the large man back towards relative safety.

Once they had their prize the Orions vanished back into the undergrowth and there was the sound of a site to site transporter being activated.

Durak tried to open comms but again, they were still being jammed. 'What the hell?' he thought bitterly. First, they would have to attend to the wounded before trying to find the source of the jamming so they could contact the Elysium.
