Mission: Casperia Prime - A lesson in relaxation
Location: Holodeck 1
Timeline: After So What Do You Say?
677 words - 1.4 OF Standard Post Measure

After asking Lia to marry him and her accepting, Gary headed to Holodeck 1 to make some changes to the romantic evening he
had planned for them. He was on cloud nine ten and eleven! As set about making the appropriate changes. The first change was
to program in a Japanese Onsen or Bath House in Chiba City. After finishing that and making sure it responded like it should. He
next added the bar Lia had said was just down from the bath house. Satisfied there were no glitches he waited for Lia to arrive. As
he waited he felt young, reborn just like he did when he and Catlin were married. Lia was no Catlin and he didn't want her to be. He
wanted Lia not a copy of Catlin. Lia was smart, sexy and beautiful. She possessed an inner strength that he marveled at. She was also
quite compassionate. A trait not many saw. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind to him or anyone else and he loved her for it. Lia didn't
know what intimidation meant.

He knew changes were coming and he was okay with that. Lia had already transformed his (now their quarters into a Japanese
Tea House) for his part he was trying to learn more of about the Japanese culture so he and Lia could talk about it. he had learned
some of their food dishes and had surprised Lia with them when they were on DS9. The look of happiness and joy on her face was
one he would never forget and he realized that was what being married was all about. Pleasing your spouse. Not because you had
to or it was required but because you wanted to and it made you feel good when they felt good.

He knew Lia and he would argue it was inevitable and a part of marriage. Couples who said they never argued were in his mind
liars. You couldn't live and care about someone and not argue at some point. Furthermore if they weren't liars then one of the
pair was dead. It was that simple.

As he continued to wait he knew he needed to do something special for Lia as a wedding present but what? He knew at some
point he would take her home to meet his parents but who knew when they would get leave to do that. This had to be special
and something Lia would enjoy. He ruled out any Japanese holoprogram as Lia could do that anytime. He thought and reject
various ideas then it came to him. When Lia first had come onboard he had found her in the holodeck playing a sword and fantasy
program. it was what inspired him to get her the rapier for last Christmas. He smiled in satisfaction, that would be perfect! She
would never expect it. She probably thought he had forgotten all about it. He began to gently outline the program and what he
wanted in it. There would be swordfights, rescues, grand battles maybe even a dragon or two. He hadn't decided on those yet. He
grinned as he thought more on the program. It had to be perfect.

This was going to be fun! Lia would never know and she couldn't wheedle it out of anyone else because no one else would know.
Not Liselle or Anje and Gallia nor Phoenix or the Doc. No one she asked would know. "Gary me boy, you've outdone yourself this
time. Lia is going to love this." But that was what being in love did. You did and sacrificed because you had someone you loved
and loved you just as much and you worked together for a common goal. Now he had work todo before the wedding and he realized
they hadn't set a date or what kind of ceremony they were going to have. Though knowing Lia and her love of the Japanese culture
it would be a Japanese wedding ceremony. More items to discuss. He smiled to himself. Wasn't love an amazing and grand thing!
