The Elysium was huge before them. Raye looked out the window as her mother sat beside her reading a PADD. The twins were sitting opposite them, Koray was tapping away on a PADD, probably some novel he was writing, and Celena was listening to music in her headphones.

Nudging her mother, Raye pointed at the massive superstructure of the Elysium. “We are going there right?” she said. “not to that..” she moved her hand to point to a small Intrepid class docked near by at Starbase 1.

Serenity nodded with a smile. “Yes, to the Elysium. Its an Odyssey Class, first of the line.”

“Bigger than the Sovereign we were on.” Raye mused. “I wonder if they have a dance studio…”

“Probably.” Serenity said softly. She glanced at the twins. “Raye, Thank you.”

Raye knew why she was being thanked. She was training to be accepted to Juliard. And being on a starship was not conducive to that. ‘Its okay Mom.” She said. “Besides, There is always vid- lessons and the holodeck”

“if it gets too much, you can always go home to the house.”

The House was in Colorado Springs, and the family spent most shore-leaves there.

“we shall see what happens” Raye replied as the shuttle docked.

As the family exited, all three of the children had duffels slung over their backs and Serenity carried hers by her side, they found themselves joining a swarm of crew, returning and new, flowing towards the great doors at the end of the shuttle bay. New crew were handed cabin assignments and people were directed to their stations.

Serenity found their cabin and opened the door. A four bedroom family suite stood before them.

"Wow" Raye said looking around. "Bigger than the last one we had."

It was, to be sure way larger than their last quarters. Celena and Raye, had, had to share and Koray's room had been even smaller.

Raye blocked her eager siblings with an arm. "uh huh. I get first pick." And so saying she raced for the bedrooms which were down a small hall.

Serenity smiled and went to the master suite listening to the bickering from her children.

Raye won the fight of the bedchambers and took one the farthest from the lounge area. She dropped her bag in and found that she didn't have to share a bathroom. Perfect. Grinning she flopped on the bed and wondered what this posting would bring.
