Check up

It was late and after the crazy day, Phoenix had finally made it down to medical. She knew they were busy with wounded and so had drawn it out as far as she dared. But she also knew that she had to at least get checked out, having been tossed about on the bridge.

She asked for Doctor Voight and waited patiently.

Olivia had just finished up tending to one of the crew members that had some minor injuries when one of the nurses had come by to let her know that the Captain was waiting for her. Removing the disposable gown she had put on over her uniform while treating injured crew and disposing of it, Olivia headed towards the front where the Captain waiting for her. "Hello Captain," Olivia said as she spotted Captain Lalor. "What can I do for you?"

"I am sorry to interrupt your day Doctor." Phoenix said softly. "I just need a scan run to make sure everything is ok. I got tossed about on the bridge a bit."

"It is alright Captain," Olivia replied. "Lets get you checked out. We can go over into one of the private rooms for said check up."

Phoenix nodded and let Olivia lead the way. Once inside the room, Phoenix took a breath. "How have things been down here?" she asked

"Things have been crazy with making sure that we get everyone treated," Olivia replied. "Thankfully, we have a good staff here to make sure everyone gets the treatment that they are needing. Now lets get you checked out to make sure that everything is like it is supposed to be right now." Olivia started pulling a few things together to check the Captain over to ensure that she and her unborn baby were doing alright.

Phoenix nodded and sat and waited.

Olivia picked up the tricorder and started her scans of the Captain. Once she had the needed scans of the Captain, she made a couple adjustments on the tricorder to pick up a few things specific to the baby. After getting the scans related to the baby, Olivia saved all the readings and set the tricorder aside. "Everything is fine, Captain," Olivia said. "I picked up a bit of stress, but considering what we just went through, it is to be expected. Just try to keep it in check as much as you can."

"Thank you" Phoenix smiled. "And believe me I am trying to limit the stress."

"Good," Olivia replied. "Just remember to do what you can to limit the stress. Also, when was the last time you had something to eat Captain? If it has been awhile, then I am ordering you to get something to eat and relax a little while you can. For who knows when you will get the chance to relax next."

"I was going home for dinner, straight after this." Phoenix smiled.
"And thank you for putting my mind at rest."

"Good," Olivia replied. "Make sure you take it easy and get some much needed rest. I'm just as glad as you are that things are going like they should be right now for your pregnancy. Plus a little extra juice or milk would help also in the vitamin department. It would be a way to get some of the vitamins at least before having to start on the prenatail ones."

"I will, is there anything else I should be taking?" Phoenix asked curiously.

"I will do a little checking to see which ones will be best for you," Olivia replied. "Not all of the prenatail vitamins work for each person. Some may end up being trial and error so to speak to see which ones will work best for you. Usually certain foods will give you the best dosage on the needed vitamins, but depending on various factors individuals can use a little extra help in the vitamin department at times."

"Thank you" Phoenix said honestly.

"I will let you go get something to eat and much needed rest Captain," Olivia said. "Just let me know if you have any problems before you come back in for your next check up."

Phoenix smiled and headed out of medical.
