Brief Interview with Ms Elisha Pryce-Randal - onboard Ship Reporter

EPR: What is your role on the Elysium? And what does it entail?

*Puffs chest out* I am a Senior Chief Petty Officer. I am in charge of the Elysium's armory along with providing
security for the crew and any guests that may come aboard. However my most important duty is cleaning up
the mistakes the officers makes. *Laughs and looks around.* You can edit that last part out right?

EPR: What made you choose that line of work?

I'm not especially good at fixing or repairing things so engineering was out. Nor am I especially good at science. I am
not a pilot. I don't think I have the right temperament to be a diplomat. There wasn't much left to chose from. I am a
good shot, if I do say so myself so I just fell into security and found I like it.

EPR: How do you handle the pressure that comes with being a Starfleet officer?

OH! I am not an officer. I work for a living but I understand what you mean. If I want to vent, you can usually
find me on the Elysium's range shooting. If I am not there I am in my quarters which I share with my beautiful
wife Heather. She can always get me to relax and smile. She can make any problem just seem like nothing with
just her smile and support. Or on the holodeck with Heather, running some program of a night club and us dancing,
just enjoying ourselves.

EPR: What would you say to a cadet aspiring to do what you do?

To go into it full bore, do nothing halfway. Security is a wonderful and exciting field with lots of room for advancements
and opportunities anything from starship duty to being part of a diplomatic detail. However you have to work for it. It
will not just be given to you.

EPR: What is your favorite memory of your time at the academy?

Hmmm. That is a good question. Let me think. Oh! I have it! I was going to a training session on interrogation and I was told the
instructor was a woman. When I arrived, I saw this really mean looking man barking at everyone. He looked at me and asked what
my problem was. I replied that I was confused that I was told that a woman was teaching this class and you are the ugliest woman
I have ever seen. I thought it was very funny and so did some of the other cadets, who were also laughing. However for some reason
he was not laughing in fact he was not too happy and my arms are still sore from the push ups I did.

EPR: Do you have any funny tales to tell about your time on the USS Elysium?

Another good question. Where do you get all these good questions from. Now, where was I Oh, funny tales. Yes I do. A group of
us get into together on the holodeck and we run tank battles. My tank is named the Mamacita. Such a beautiful tank! Well in this
one program we were hunting tigers, no not the animal but Tiger tanks, the biggest and baddest tanks of World War II. Well we find
one I shoot it with the big cannon we have on Mamacita and all of a sudden thousands of big yellow ducks appear all quacking and
waddling towards us! Seems someone had gotten into the program and made some slight alterations. Needless to say we were
laughing for a long time afterwards. Those were good times.
