MISSION 0 - History Speaks
Location: Transporter Room
Timeline: After Trades Secrets Post and day Before Christmas Post
1035 words - 2.1 OF Standard Post Measure
Lt. Victor Barclay de Tolly and Commander were waiting for a new family to be transported from The USS Izar. Recently a couple who was serving on the Izar found their daughter years after she was missing. One was an Agricultural Engineer named Lt. JG. Marcellus Sattine an Dasar. whose responsibility had to do with from everything from keeping arboretums fully functional to helping planets with everything from Agriculture to Aquaculture. His wife Astara is a Science Officer specializing in Botany, Biology and Zoology. Their daughter who was sixteen, almost seventeen was named after a famous Alindarian named Tirielle.
"USS Elysium," Captain Mira King said, "You received the orders yesterday of the transfer. Is everything in order before teleporting the little family over?"
"We have," Victor says, "It will be great having them on board. The last Agricultural Engineer was killed during the Mirror Universe mission and other Engineers had been filling in for the post. As far as the Botanist, Commander Arianna Salannis an Vantar could use another Botanist."
Arri looked at Tirielle and then at Victor. The resemblance was uncanny.
Victor eyebrow went up not knowing why he was getting a strange look. "Captain King, please beam over them now." He watched the view screen as the three disappeared from the Teleport pad on the Izar and then appeared on the pad on the Elysium. "Captain King, they are over here now. Give my father my best when you see him next."
"I will be seeing him tommorow," she winked a bit. "But that is on a need to know basis. Give my sister my best."
"Understood," Victor replied blushing a bit. "I will do the same. Elysium out."
Marcellus looks at Victor as he already knew Arri from years ago. "Lieutenant. Nice to be here. "
"Glad you three are here as well," Victor answers. "Miss Tirelle, I have a daughter who will be nine years old in a few days. Commander Arianna is training her to be a Science Officer. Are you going to request be part of the crew?"
Marcellus looked around. "After we get settled in, I report to duty."
"Take a couple of days," Victor says, "I will sen you some takes you can look over."
"Agreed," Marcellus nodded.
The next day, Marcellus was in the greenhouse as he was making notes. Victor walked in as he sees Marcellus had already began workimg.
"Marcellus," Victor says looking over Marcellus notes, "So what do you recommend?"
"Minor suggestions but I will consult with my wife," Marcellus says pointing to the plants. "The plants are way too close and they can not breathe. A matter of a few centimeters, I believe we can get more productive plants."
"Yes," Victor agreed, "Do consult with your wife. After all she is a great Botanist. Captain Mira King speaks very highly of you two."
"Thank you but I have a question for you but it is a personal one," Marcellus said with reluctance in his voice, "Actually two questions. Have we met before and how is it you know Captain King?"
"It does feel we have met before but recently but that is impossible unless there was a time shift," Victor replied, "I come from another reality and when that reality was no more, myself, my sister, my daughter who was the daughter of my reality's version of Tonya King and my son who is the son of her sister Mira. This reality version of Mira King discovered a Quantum Element which allowed her to gain the memories of my reality version Mira."
"Quantum Mechanics was never have been one of my strong points but I have witnessed anomalies before," Marcellus said as he understood what he said, kind of.
Victor felt a memory suppressed as though it was a dream, "Did we meet on Pacifica recently?"
Marcellus thought for a moment, "My wife and I was there recently. We found our long lost daughter but I do not recall meeting you but I feel in a way, we did. The branch of my tree has been restored. Maybe one day it will come to one of us how we met."
Tirielle walked in quietly. She can see her father talking as she kept quiet. Her secret she will keep to herself.
Marcellus seeing his daughter interrupts the conversation he was having, "Lt. Victor Barclay de Tolly, this is my daughter Mirielle. Mirielle, this is Chief Engineer Victor Barclay de Tolly."
"Nice to meet you young lady," Victor said with a nod. "It is an honor."
"The honor is mine," Tirielle said with a curtsy.
"Well I will be on my way," Victor said. "Marcellus, please keep up the great work. Tirielle, I have a daughter who is nine. Her name is Lara."
"Thank you Sir," Marcellus says kindly back. After Victor left, Marcellus tells his daughter, "Most unusual backstory the Lieutenant has. He and his family are from another reality which was erased. Now I need to check with you mother in recommendations I have here. She is the Botanist and even though she is my wife, she has to approve my recommendations."
"Very wise father," Tirielle says as she looks at the foliage. "I love the smell of tomatoes and basil."
"So do I," Marcellus replied. "Now for your lessons for the day. You will need to tell me tomorrow all about the reasons why the equipment needs to regulate ratios of hydrogen, oxygen, carbon and even nitrogen."
"Yes Father," Tirielle replied. "Father, I am going to go find Lara."
Marcellus scratched his head a bit. "Can not afford you getting lost. Message Lara to be escorted here."
"Yes father," Tirielle replied. "Computer. Please page Lara Barclay."
Marcellus interrupted. "Computer Please page Lara Barclay de Tolly."
Lara communication badge chirp. "This Acting Scientist Mate Lara Barclay de Tolly."
"Mate Lara," Marcellus spoke, "This is Lt. Junior Grade Marcellus Sattine an Dasa. I have a teenage daughter name Tirielle who will like to meet you."
"I am not too far from a Teleport Room," Lara replied. "I will have her Teleport here."
"Thank you," Marcellus answered. He gave his daughter instructions. She teleported away. He hoped his daughter would make a new friend.
